Worked while watching my son weld a dirtbike kick stand for a short period of time instructing him on how to weld some. Will update when I use them to weld in floor pans of my truck under the steering wheel. Helmet is to big I figured the goggles will be better under that tight spot

So you want to save money on a welding mask? Okay, you will. But make sure you have a flat nose! I can see arc light under the bottom because of my enormous schnoz holding up the bottom lip. Oh also - did you know you can get sunburn while welding w/o covering your face. Recommend put on a respirator too.

These worked great for my needs

See my similar review on a similar device bought on same date.Used these for the eclipse viewing, or at least tried to use them. Unfortunately they would only blackout while the hinge was being actively moved, and there was a single flash of blackout, otherwise clear and let blazing sunlight through. Tapping the front of the goggles also made the black flash happen sometimes but unreliably. Continuous pressure on the faceplate in many locations was a complete failure to get a work-around.These are defective, they are dangerous for the vision of the wearer, they should be recalled immediately.Note: there is no outward appearance issue that would make the purchaser suspect there was a problem with the function of the unit.

Didn't fit well. Pain to assemble. Uncomfortable to wear

Nice set for when wearing a helmet is too bulky to get into or around tight spots. lightening quick dimmer also, quite comfortable.
