After buying my first compound bow I started asking other archery club members which release they recommended. If you are getting into archery, especially using compound bows for target or hunting, a release really is a game changer for many. This model and brand stood out as the most durable model and the foldback feature is useful when doing target practice (folding the release back to remove arrows stuck in your target) or if you are trying to make your way up to your tree stand and want to tuck the release away inside your jacket sleeve. I've shot well over a thousand arrows and this release has never failed, is durable and I definitely recommend it.

The edge release by Tru Fire is a very high quality release. Quite, smooth, adjustable, very comfortable and it folds back for climbing into your stand. The price is much better on amazon than retail stores and it is worth spending a little more to get this release. I have shot everything from the patriot to the hardcore max and this is my favorite. One additional bit of information is that the release shown is the old model the new model which is the one I received has the new style and red stitching and is the one shown on Tru Fires website for exact specs.
