Gould & Goodrich Gold Line Small of Back Holster

Gould and Goodrich makes the best leather holsters short of an expensive custom made one. This small of back will be different for me, but I do want to give it a try.

Everything with this holster is as described. Color, stitching, and fitment are great. My 1911's all fit perfectly with a little tightening of the screw. Pistol does not shift, stays secure even when running. Absolutely everything I wanted in a sob holster.

Good quality overall but there are some details that could cause issues down the road. On the reverse side that the photos dont show where the belt runs through the leather isn't doubled. It's also cut in such a way that it's offset and I believe over time the handle side of the holster will sag away from the body. I am returning and paying a little more for the same style holster but with a better design.

Good quality as expected with G&G - good retention and adjustments. The only thing is you have to wear at least a 2" belt - otherwise the gun sags and prints very badly. A good gun belt will help tuck that gun butt and keep it tight to your body. With all SOB holsters, you have to be careful sitting down. I use a C&L 1911 and it wouldn't be surprising if sitting down the thumb safety accidentally disengaged.
