As a bus driver in the UK unfortunately I experience more abuse from passengers and drivers that drive dangerously. As my company doesn't have the newest buses the onboard CCTV isn't always there to protect me. With this body/dash cam from Boblov I hope to be able to protect myself from false accusations. I have been testing the Boblov for several days now and these are my comments: Pro's: - Very good quality of image. I recorded and tested on 1080/30 and 1440/30 and both are very good. - recordings on 1080/30 you can zoom in and out before you turn the camera on - The Battery lasted for 12/13 hours before recharging was needed. note: I filmed 8 hours on 1440/30 which have an influence on the battery. - Sound is very clear - Alarm works very well. One push and it makes a lot of noise :-) - easy menu and the options are easy to understand. No cons but…. - Because of the weight of the body cam, the short and long clips are not always keeping the camera in its place but you can solve it by getting a body camera vest or a magnet. I have to wear a normal shirt/uniform so I have been using the clip for being sucked on the window screen as I want to record passengers talking to me in combination with the dashcam. - I had to download another video player (MK Player) as the default Quicktime Player doesn't support the sound. Overall I am very pleased with this body/dash cam as I have been looking for a good quality one with a long battery life. I hope I never have to use the footage I am recording but if I have to I can count on a perfect silent witness!

After months of research I finally decided on the BOBLOV M5 and right out of the box I found it ready to go and surprisingly easy to use, video quality is really good, so good that I find 1080p to be more than adequate and maximisees space. I got just over 10 hours filming at 1080p out of the battery. On plugging it in to my Mac with the supplied cable a folder appeared with all my clips ready to view or edit it is really that simple. The supplied car mount is pretty good and the 170 degree video capture is great. All in all a great body cam and a great dash cam. BOBLOV you smashed it!

Picture quality and battery life are the best things about this bodycam. Easy to use and I particularly like the car mount so it can be used as a dashcam too. Easily transferred between car and body. You will need to pay for an additional magnetic mount if you need to attach it to your clothes as it is unstable without (shame it's not offered as part of the kit). Finally, the quality of the software you have to download for displaying your journeys on a map is awful! It simply doesn't work so I can't reproduce my movements on a map (especially disappointed since I chose the GPS version in order to do this). Lost one star because of this.

Six months ago I was not very aware of Boblov as a brand. I have used a few of their devices but the name of the company had not registered. In March I ordered an M5 2K for testing. This is a serious piece of kit not an amateur toy. Accordingly it needs some investment in learning how it functions. Try to use it like a Go-Pro and it will work but if you want or need a Go-Pro buy one, don't skimp and expect to get the same thing. This is a security device designed to be used to gather evidence. The M5 2K comes with a good range of accessories. RECOMMEND: If the camera is still running the 2022 firmware, contact the friendly customer services email and ask for the latest 2023 firmware. It improves a number of minor glitches and makes the camera far more reliable to operate. NOTE: The interface/charging cable is Mini USB. Not commonly used but very robust compared to mini USB. Don't get caught out without a cable or compatible charging dock. Most retail outlets are very unlikely to stock Mini USB cables or adapters. There are plenty available online. We have a reactive dog and although we take every precaution to ensure that she is always under control on walks, there have been occasions when others have not taken their responsibilities for their dogs as seriously as they should, and we have ended up in situations that could have been avoided if they had been responsible dog owners. Hence the reason for purchasing this camera. We took it for a test run today at a dog park in the wind and rain. The footage is very good, I'd set the recording quality to 2K and it is quite impressive, certainly clear enough should it ever be needed as evidence. The audio was hampered by a strong wind, but in the moments when the wind died down, our voices and others in our party could be heard very clearly without having to strain to hear them. The mics seem sensitive enough for evidential use if we ever need the audio. We also took some good stills with this. Works well in heavy wind and rain. Viewing footage on a PC is easy. Plug in the cable and navigate to the unit's folders, then select what you want to view/download. Managing the unit's content is also easy. I haven't used all of the unit's capabilities yet and I may update this review when I've had the opportunity to do so, but my experience thus far has been very positive and I am happy with this unit.

Faulty battery after just a few months of use. Boblov support didn’t respond to my numerous requests for assistance so the 12 month warranty they provide is clearly worthless. BOBLOV = a waste of my time and money!

I've been using BWCs for a long time and was amazed at the build quality of the BOBLOV M5. It's a very robust camera with all the important features needed of such a camera. The most importand of course being photo and video clarity, but equally important security of recorded data. The photo here is a rear view of the BOBLOV M5 with a KlickFast (Klick Fast) stud I adapted for use by swapping out a spring clip off a Klick Fast stud. Very simple, easy-peasy.

I think a go pro might have been a better choice. It's hard to attach it so that it holds up. Also it's hard to depress the record button, yet too easy to hit the panic button that embarrassingly alerts everyone around. In a true panic situation however that's not a bag thing. But it's placed near other function buttons, whilst wearing its hard to see what you're pushing, so pretty pointless. Good image quality and battery lasts well. As someone who professionally uses body cams, this product is overly complicated.
