I wanted to try out candle making as was asked by a couple of my friend to laser engrave candle holders in memory of their loved ones, so thought be good to also make the candle. With this kit there is everything you need to start making your own candle and the selection of fragrances is good for a starting kit. The wax casserole heater is safe and easy to use, following the instructions provided. Even better is that my daughter likes to get involved and is now making her own for gifts for friends. Would make a perfect christmas to any creative if you are struggling with ideas.

Great item. Nice for someone starting to make candles. However, in mine they sent me 2 yellow colours and 1 blue ( no red) . Otherwise, very happy with the plack

Not the best to be honest. It’s ok when getting started and practicing but you’ll soon realise the wicks provided aren’t great and are quite useless. You need TCR wicks which burn so much better but the width is not correct for even burning! Therefore a waste also. The only decent fragrances, in my opinion are the jasmine, freesia and lavender. They dyes are ok but I purchased other ones. Unsure about the dried flowers but I wouldn’t use them. When burning they really do stink, so I wouldn’t want to add these in any candle. Others may be more creative than I am. For just under £50, I wouldn’t buy it again. Definitely a good kit to find out all the things that aren’t correct if you want to make a decent candle. You DO need a candle thermometer!
