Very accurate

This is the third one I purchased. I have it on three different pits. Awesome product.

I live in Texas, so I was reluctant to buy something that said 'Oklahoma" on it, but I'm not sorry I did. Got a "New Braunfels" (that's the name of a Texas town and this smoker brand) smoker from a junk pile that some fool had tossed it into as the metal on it was still quite solid. Was missing the temp gauge so I needed a new one and didn't want to spend big $$$ on one. Researched several and read reviews and settled on this. I was quite pleased at the price, though it has gone up quite a bit since I bought it. It fit snug into the smoker after I wallered out the hole just a tiny bit and screwed on the nut. I was quite pleased at the size of this gauge and it is easy to read even in low light. That was a big plus as I often start making BBQ in the wee hours of the morning before the roosters, donut making man and the sun get up. It has the marks telling you the temps for Smoke, BBQ (which are basically the same thing, maybe that's just weird Oklahoma speak), grilling (which is not BBQ!) and sear. Not that I need this info, but probably helpful to rookies. The gauge seems to be pretty accurate and that's what's most important. My only complaint is that the other day I noticed condensation inside the gauge in the center. It didn't block any of the actual temp marks, so that's OK I guess. Maybe that's to be expected, though I've never noticed it on the cheap gauge that is on my crappy Walmart smoker. It seems to clear out , so I'm not gonna take off a star about it.

Purchased to fit in my OKI Joe offset to give a second temp gauge. Fits and works as it should. Heavily priced for what the device is if I am honest, but I wanted OKI Joes version as the restaurant itself has a piece of my life in its history. I know the OKI joes smokers are not made by Joe’s anymore but it was a nostalgia thing for me.

A good thing
