Kitchens of India
Great easy to fix Indian lentil sauce. Curry without being too hot. Ate it plain over rice. Will try it with vegs mixed in next time. Good on its own or as a base. Good product. No diarrhea or tummy upset !! Very safe

Delicious
My husband loves Indian food and is really impressed with these dinners, which we put over rice.

Kitchens Of India Dal Bukhara Black Gram Lentil Curry if OK but not my favorite
Kitchens Of India Ready To Eat Dal Bukhara, Black Gram Lentil Curry. I bought a large variety pack. The curry simple and delicious with perfect spices and good value for money if you buy the 6 pack. The curry is fast & easy to prepare takes less than two minutes to cook. The authenticity and versatility is great over Rice as a quick meal for a good size with authentic organic ingredients. The heat level is mild on my spicy scale so I add a few drops of Capsaicin to spice it up to my liking.

The other legume curry -- Rajma Masala and Pindi Chana are both between acceptable and good, the Pav Bhaji is acceptable -- but
One bite and it was on subscribe and Save! I bought th assorted six-pack from KOI. It was, overall, a mixed batch. The other legume curry -- Rajma Masala and Pindi Chana are both between acceptable and good, the Pav Bhaji is acceptable -- but not something I'd order a six-pack of -- and the Navratan Korma is wonderfully spiced, but the vegetables and even the cashews, are so overcooked as to be tasteless. (It did inspire me to consider trying to come up with my own version.) But the dal Bukhara is simply magnificent, the spicing -- which is powerful but not 'hot' -- works beautifully off the ingredients to make this a favorite. And yes, I've already received the first shipment of Subscribe and Save -- only one 6-pack every three months because I wanted to have room for other Indian foods without becoming swamped. One suggestion I'd make. Try this -- and most similar Indian foods -- on top of couscous -- particularly the Rice Select Brand of instant. The flavors work together, and there isn't the problem that some people have with rice. Definitely worth getting. (This review was by "Prup (aka Jim Benton)" even though it is under my wife's name.)

great flavor and consistency
When I want a nonspicy dal this one is my FAV. But all the KoI flavors rock.

Good but scant lentils
Tastes nice and spicy. 95 % sauce 5 % lentils☹️

Best Indian cuisine on the market
After trying Kitchen of India's variety pack, as well as their Chili Pepper Curry and a number of products from other labels such as Tasty Bite, I have chosen to subscribe on a regular basis to Kitchen of India's Black Gram Lentils Curry as well as their Red Kidney Beans Curry. Of the two I prefer the lentil curry: it is simply the best packaged Indian product that I have tried. Since taste is certainly subjective (what is pleasing to my palate may be unpleasing to some one else and vice versa), I should mention that I have been a vegetarian since 1969, have a strong propensity for Indian cuisine that is not too spicy, and generally like anything which has whole grains and beans as a base.

Great meal. Easy prep.
I'd never tried stuff like this before I got married. My wife wants something to eat that is easy to make while she's at work. She told me she'd had, what she calls, "boil-in-the-bag-meals" before and wanted to have them at work. Looking on Amazon, there are several choices. This particular choice is made by a team of chefs at a hotel in India. This meal is definately worth trying if you enjoy Indian cuisine. I became a fan immediately when I tried, Kitchens of India Dal Bukhara. It's easy to make too. Just re-heat whatever way works best for you.

I've eaten Dal Bukhara in the Bukhara restaurant in New Delhi many times, and this is almost as good . Brilliant delicious product

Easy to prepare & tasty. Maybe a bit too much sodium.
