I got this brand because I got tired of having to settle for chunk light tuna week after week the household has been bringing in place of the albacore white tuna and even tuna-style salmon I subsist on to keep my cholesterol in check because they feel it's too expensive. So when I saw this and the Chicken Of The Sea Salmon in the 12-can pack, it was the proverbial manna from heaven because it could last between 3-6 days. The difference between the two brands is that, 1. The Bumble Bee brand is less salty to my taste buds than the Chicken Of The Sea brand; 2. The Bumble Bee salmon, because of its fine flakes, is ready-made as a substitute for the ubiquitous tuna in salads and hoagies, heroes & sub sandwiches. 3. While the Chicken Of The Sea brand, due to its resemblance to albacore white tuna, seems fresher, more substantially meaty! I'd continue to buy both of them because both brands are delicious and nutritious in their own right!
