Made in Malaysia. I recommend it for an inexpensive basic phone. Panasonic design, big buttons and some speaker capability.

Q: Does the speaker announce who is ringing in? Trying to avoid elderly mother with poor eyeseight having to try to see the display.

I have never tried it on speaker but I also have poor eyesight and this is very easy for me to see who is calling. The definition is very good with a white backround and black print. I would definitely purchase it again.
