I bought this for our house in lieu of having a big traditional fire extinguisher stuck in a corner somewhere. I took the plastic wrapping off the lid and placed it on the counter next to our other bottles of things we use all the time and leave out. Flash forward several months, I was walking through our living room and smelled a strong burning plastic smell. My family was sitting in the living room and said they smelled it too. Right as my husband thought of what it could be, I saw flames on our back porch...they were tall enough that they were showing in the window. He had emptied ashes from our smoker into a plastic bucket, and it not only melted the bucket but had caught several things on fire around it. The fire was working it's way up our patio chair. He ran to the sink and began filling a pitcher of water....in the meantime, I remembered the fire extinguisher on the counter, ran out the door, and sprayed the fire. IT WORKED! It fully extinguished the fire, and I didn't even use half the can. I'm a believer in this product and will not be without it in my home ever again!

Not sure it'll put out fires, but it fits perfectly in our First Aid Kit.

This is a very toxic product. It may help to grab a mask before using this product. While it may help for a regular fire, it did not help for an electrical fire, a regular fire extinguisher had to be used to eventually stop the fire.

Can’t recommend these extinguishers enough. I just had a small fire start in my living room when I poured water on a wax fire thinking that would work but instead created a mini explosion. Hot tip: don’t put water on a wax fire. I luckily had this bad boy nearby and sprayed it on the fire, putting it out immediately. Very little mess left over and our house is still standing. Super easy to use and the perfect size. I bought this over a year ago, had never used it but I’m so thankful it was there.
