This stuff works!
I put this stuff on in the beginning of the summer and waited the entire summer to do my review. Here's how it went. I sprayed this on my hostas, which last year the deer made their personal salad bar. Okay I got to be up front here and tell you this stuff stinks to high heaven. It smells like some sort of urine. Really strong. I told my husband to be careful not to get it on his clothes because he kept walking past the hostas and I said if you get this on your clothes, I'm throwing them away. They will not be brought into the house. But I had high hopes. Day two I go out to check the hostas and there are so many flies there I can't believe it. Everywhere. But only on the leaves where I sprayed - they didn't bother me at all. I thought uh-oh. This might not be what I want. Day three still flies. Maybe a little bit less. Day four flies but less. Day five until the end of the summer, no smell and my hostas made it all the way through the season unscathed . I never had to spray them again and all the leaves are still there! I didn't believe that I wouldn't have to spray them again after rain, but you don't! And we got a lot of rain in Michigan this year. So I would say five stars and I would definitely purchase this again. Thank you for saving my hostas. Next year. I'm putting it on more of my plants because obviously the deer moved on to the other plants in my yard.

This One Really Works!
We now live in Central Oregon and enjoy frequent visits from our local deer. However, the shrubbery damage can be considerable. Last year, we planted a row of several Arborvitae bushes and lost them all... these plants are affectionately known locally as deer candy. After a bit of online research and reading customer reviews on Amazon, I rather skeptically purchased this product. This year we replanted the same plants and I applied Bobbex once each month. Happily, our shrubbery has gone untouched the entire season. The most informative review of this product came from an online article summarizing a Connecticut study of deer repellants http://www.motherearthnews.com/organic-gardening/deer-repellent-zb0z1208zmat.aspx#axzz3Gz7iy6hh The results showed Bobbex had the highest effectiveness rate at 93% -- pretty good in my book. The biologic ingredients are disgusting and are apparently repulsive to the deer. Naturally, the smell is terrible, so do not spill it or get it on your clothing. But, once the spray is applied and dries, the stench disappears (to our noses), but remains effective as a deer repellent. We found the Bobbex Deer Repellent to be effective, safe, affordable and easily applied from the handy spray bottle of premix. One 32 oz. bottle was enough for an entire year for our front yard plantings. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and have recommended this product to our neighbors as well.

Does the job
It does what it should. It keeps deer away. I wish the spray was a bit more dependable

It works!
Only thing I've found - and believe me, I've looked - that actually works. I have extensive plantings and the deer were treating it as a buffet. No more. Does require frequent reapplication as it's water soluble but very effective.

Works so well!!
Works wonders at keeping deer away from perennial plants! It smells horrible and the smell lingers so be careful where you store it. Highly recommend not bringing it in your house. But it works so the stench is worth it!

Colorado deer don't mind the scent and still eat the sprayed leaves
We just moved to a very high-deer population area so I'm in the process of figuring out what I can and cannot plant to survive the never ending parade of deer coming through the yard. I bought one bush to plant this fall after a lot of research, as everyone claimed it was deer-resistant, would do well in this area, and it was also labeled as such. And as an extra precaution I bought this spray to use as well. So right when I planted it I used a hand pump sprayer to get all the leaves (tops and bottoms) drenched in the solution. I've attached the photo of what the plant looked like when planted and sprayed, and then 2 days later. The deer clearly still find the plant at least somewhat tasty, as they probably ate about 1/4 of the bush. There was no rain during this period to wash it off (though it does say 24 hours after spraying it won't be washed off by the rain anyways). I sprayed it again on the 3rd day, in case my initial soaking of the plant wasn't enough (though the label says frequent sprayings should only be needed when the plant is putting out new growth, and it is currently fall and the plant has not put out new growth that needed to be sprayed in the last 3 days), and then about 30 or 40 minutes later I was out on the deck with a view of the bush and I watched a family of 3 deer come and hang out by the bush and nibble on it. They spent a long time there, with their noses right in the bush, so the smell clearly doesn't bother them much. I've attached another photo of the deer with her nose right in it right when the smell is most potent (sorry it's not great quality, I was pretty far out on the deck and only had my cell phone to snap it). It's very hard to describe the smell. It's not horrible but it's not pleasant either. Rotting mouthwash would be the best way I could think to describe it. I can't smell it a couple hours after spraying unless I put my face really close to the plant though. So as of right now, I'm giving this 3 stars because for all I know, the shrub might have been eaten completely to the ground already if I had not sprayed it with this, I really don't know. I think it's possible that they take a couple bites each and then decide it's not that great and move on, but as I've only used it on one plant and it's only been a week I cannot say for certain if the spray is helping or if this plant itself just doesn't taste that great to them. I plan on doing more experiments with more plants in the future (ie. getting 2 plants of 1 type and spraying one but not the other) and I will update my review when I can reach more of a true conclusion as to whether or not it makes a difference. For now, all I know for certain is that deer will still come through your yard (which I consider a good thing as we enjoy seeing all the wildlife), it does not actually repel deer at all from the plant/area and they will still eat it at least to some extent.

You will NEVER need another deer repellant!
This has kept deer from eating my hostas and just generally walking through our flower beds during this past spring and summer. Our small "urban" area of a bigger town has a fair population of extremely domesticated deer who will walk right up to a construction site (with newly born twin fawns) and sniff around flower beds under ladders. They walk across our streets with a regal air and take their sweet time, not caring if there are cars waiting for them. The only time I kept a doe and her twins from munching my neighbor's front door rose bush (prior to Bobbex) was using my water hose to blast the face of the doe, who didn't care for it and left with fawns following. For those reviewers who describe the smell as "death"... I don't get it. How do you describe the smell of death unless you're around decaying bodies of animals or humans? I grew up in a rural area and my grandfather was a cattleman and owned a butcher shop. Trips to the rendering plant were sometimes required where I was left in the truck but the smell is truly unpleasant. I'm careful not to spray Bobbex when the wind is blowing and wear gloves, but other than that, I don't need to wear anything special or live in fear that I'm going to smell like the stuff. I've also lightly sprayed other plants and trees with leaf laden limbs AND the ground so they have absolutely no desire to walk where I don't want them nor find a nice place to plop down and spend the night. It's wonderful and the smell doesn't permeate our yard either.
