First impressions - I really like them. Very well constructed and look very durable.
Just got these delivered like 15 minutes ago. First impressions - I really like them. Very well constructed and look very durable. At this point I will state that I've obviously not used them outside yet, but I will be doing tomorrow, but my usage might be a little different than most folks'. I don't anticipate them wearing out any time soon. I'm not using them for running. I'm a fat guy looking to lose weight and while I've bought myself other exercise equipment recently (exercise bike and weights bench) I decided to get these too to wear under my trousers while at work. I deliver stuff so I'm climbing in and out of the van and walking a reasonable amount back and forth from customers' doors. Every little helps, right? Right. So they fit me, strapping-around-the-calf-wise. Just. If I position them just right. An extra inch or two would be very nice (huehuehue). How secure they are on me through the course of a work shift remains to be seen, but the thing is that if they only just fit round my fat calves they WILL fit round your thinner calves and be securely fastened enough for you to run in. Unless you're built like Calfzilla or something. Or unless you're fat like me (for now). Y'all healthy folk should be fine. If the manufacturers are reading this, might be nice if you could extend the length of the velcro straps to help us fatties out, but then again there's probably too few of us buying this for it to be cost effective. Maybe only one fatty buying this? I'm special. Yay. They do fit discreetly under my trousers, for those wondering about that. I just checked. My trousers are like tents though so there's plenty of room. Y'all normal-size-trouser-wearing folk should again be fine but they might be more noticeable on you than on me. You'll just have to buy them and see, I suppose. They do dig in slightly towards the top of my calf when my leg's fully bent and this might cause chafing and discomfort over the long term. At this point I don't know yet. I can't tell if this is a drawback with the design or just the result of me being overweight, but I'm tending towards it simply being a consequence of the latter. It's something I'll just deal with, certainly nothing to cost the product a star or anything. One thing I do really like about this product is that the weight is in solid blocks. I'm already wearing traditional sand-filled ankle weights daily and the sand obviously sags to the bottom (thanks, gravity, nice one) and distorts the shape and the weights sometimes hit together. That won't happen with this, which is the main reason I bought these to try as an alternative. I'm actually looking forward to working a shift with these on. Probably won't be much fun if I have to carry stuff up three flights of stairs in a block of flats, but that's never fun at the best of times. Should be illegal to build flats without lifts! Still, no pain, no gain, right? Right.

Best 'heavy' ankle weights around.
Not the smallest (think shin pad size), but when your putting nearly 6lb on each foot it's not going to be small. Definitely slimline though and I wear them under jeans or tracksuit bottoms and they're not noticeable. I find them more comfortable with the weight at the back of my leg and straps around the front. This way the weight doesn't sit on the arch of your foot. 2 wide straps and 1 slimline strap at the top allow them to fit snug to any size or shaped legs. Weights are 5 steel rods on each leg (approx 1lb each), which can be easily removed/replaced if you want to. If you're looking for some heavy ankle weights it's worth paying that little bit more for these over any of these sand weight ones.

Bad product. Worse support.
When I opened the box, these looked great! Unfortunately, that feeling faded the moment I put them on - some worker at the factory had obviously run short of material so instead of using what they were supposed to, they.ve sewn strips of VELCRO to the inside of each ankle weight so the prickly bits are pressed against your skin. Obviously this is very unpleasant. I contacted the company and they confirmed the item was faulty. I was told if I returned the weights, I'd get a refund. So I returned them. Did I get a refund? No! Three months later, I'm still fighting to get my money back. Another minor issue came to light after I'd contacted the company and while I was debating if it was worth having a replacement item instead of a refund - one of the weights had been scraped against something so a tiny sliver of metal stuck out which could easily slice an unwary finger. That's not good if you intended changing the amount of weight regularly. So, these weights could be great IF they were made properly. And if faulty, they could still be great IF the company's support could resolved the problem. Unfortunately, neither happens. The sad fact is that these are shoddily produced weights from a company that doesn't give a hoot about customer service. Buy at your peril.

Very satisfied with the buy
The weight set fulfills my needs for legexention and butkicks. It is very easy to put them on, and easy to take out the weights. I would highly recommend the product to others and the price is OK. Very prompt delivery.

Very frustrating!
I brought these weights to use on my arms when I run, but having smaller wrists I struggle to get these tight enough ( resorting to using sweatbands to take up the slack). Problem (sort of) solved. But what really annoys me, is the person stitching these, reversed the Velcro on one of the bands! As a consequence , the one wristband snags on my clothing. A frustrating and annoying little problem that could’ve been avoided had the stitcher paid more attention! It’s incredibly difficult to find wrist weights with additional weight bars like this, so I shall persevere. But buyer beware.
