Love the vajra thunderbolt for the guru bead's finish. Heavy duty. No stretch but doesnt need it. Every now and then you need to tighten the hex screw to keep everything nice & snug. One of the best malas I've ever owned. Great self defense item as well. Heavy but well worth it.

At first glance, it does look and feel exactly as described. There are a lot of buts coming.... I got an L key like in the pics, but there is no way to actually tighten it with that. The hole where the L key goes is just a hole where the inside strings are... You're basically just turning it between two loose strings. The only way to tighten it is to pull the bottom part and only one side actually pulls - making it look super weird (imagine pulling only one hoodie string to max length and that string also happens to be completely stiff). To make matters worse, that entire bottom part is unweighted, so with the stiff string inside, it just juts out several inches from your wrist. Even if it could be correctly tightened, that alone makes it horrible to wear. I even tried keeping it around my neck and it still doesn't rest straight down. If the bottom part were weight like the rest, I'm sure it would fix the jutting problem, but what is even the point of the L key? It doesn't do anything.... TL;DR: If you're buying this thinking you can adjust it, just save your money. It BARELY fits, L Key is useless, only has about half an inch of manual adjustment, and adjusting it worsens the appearance.

Beads are solid steel with reinforced cabling. Arrived in a sturdy cloth pouch. Ive gone through a few mala over the years, but i am 100% confident that this will be with me for quite a long time!

Exactly as order and I got it early

It’s exactly as it says. Solid as heck and looks good too. Just make sure you don’t go hitting things unnecessarily because the wire that holds it together WILL eventually degrade and break… Just treat it like you would a regular necklace until it comes time, and it should last you a long time!
