Doubt the capacity, but it works and lasts more than 24h of normal use.
I absolutely do not believe this is 9800 mAh, as this would make it more than 3x the capacity of the original battery. However, I installed it, and it works. Once installed you need to calibrate: fully charge then drain to 0. Stopped charging at 05:00, took it to work, played youtube videos on it for about 4 hrs, did some browsing, maps etc... by 12:30 the next day I was getting tired of waiting for it to run down, so I put it recording 4k 60 fps until it died at about 13:15. I'm happy with that - as good as or slightly better than it was when new. Things to note: no instructions in the case, they assume you know how to do the installation as it's not an easy installation for a beginner, but if you've done some building PCs and some electronics stuff it should be OK. iFixit and some others have good videos on the process. Make sure you keep track of the screws. They are microscopic and the included plastic tweezers are slippery - the screws can just ping off and vanish. Included driver bits are not magnetised, but they are the right sizes. Take it very slow trying to get the screen off. You can do it with the suction pad and heat gun but don't force it or you will probably crack the screen. Just be patient and persistent. and make sure you clean off all the gunk before reinstalling the adhesive. iOS18 DOES recognise this battery and display its state of health, but it does mark it as unverified. That doesn't bother me but it might some people. Summary is: Exactly what I wanted when ordering an aftermarket battery. Very pleased for the price. One star deducted because I don't believe it's got 9800 mAh> We'll see how it ages.
