I really like this powder. It adds a lot to any dish. Tastes fresh and I don’t detect any odd flavor either. I order it periodically because i add it to all sorts of dishes.

I'm not good at grinding my own dried jalapeno fine enough to stick to popcorn, so I tried this powder. The heat hits immediately instead of building up gradually. This isn't a bad thing per se, but I find that it does compete with the fruitier flavors that have more time to develop before the heat hits in my homemade powder. As such it's not a perfect replacement, but I do think it is pretty tasty, very convenient, and the extra spiciness will make this excellent for supplementing heat in cooked jalapeno dishes and using in drinks. As far as the powder grind, it is similar to other store-bought ground chilies and works well for popcorn. It did not 'poof' when I opened the bag, and has a little fluffiness to it. I put some in a shaker bottle and found that because of the fluffiness I needed to use a top that had larger holes for easier application.

Great flavor, smells and tastes fresh. I have been adding it to my sourdough cheddar bread along with diced jalapenos for more flavor and it works great, cause many requests for bread. I can't not use it now!

I love making fresh popcorn, and love flavoring it in different ways: cinnamon, honey, garlic, dill, chocolate. I love spicy chips, but most chips are fried. I did some comparison shopping on Jalapeno powder and settled on The Spice Way. Made my first batch of jalapeno popcorn today. Added salt, jalapeno powder, avocado oil to the mix and popped in my West End Theater Popcorn Maker. Adding the salt and powder before popping helps it spread and stick better than sprinkling it after it's popped. There's definitely some heat on this popcorn, but the jalapeno flavor is mild. I'll add some more next time to see if it increases the flavor. I don't think it'll make it too much hotter. We'll see. Next up: I'll try it on my chicken breasts when I grill later today. I'll add updates as I experiment. I gave 4 stars because the flavor is faint. If I find adding more powder increases flavor without making it too hot, I'll increase the stars. Update - I added more powder in my popcorn mixture and, as suspected, it added some heat but not too much more flavor. I'll still keep using it, though. I did add it to my spice rub for chicken breasts. Definitely gave some heat, but no extra flavor.

Delicious and tasty. The taste is identical to the actual pepper. Goes well on food and in marinade.
