WORTH THE MONEY!!!
As a retired, licensed and professional cosmetologist.... I'm usually very negative toward most of the "at home" curlers and tools. My hair is long (past the small of my back), bleached, and obviously not the healthiest.. I decided to give this a go, as my hands and arms have started to not tolerate curling and styling like they used to. I did not test it on wet hair, because that's a no no. But, with professional product and fully dried hair, THIS THING CURLS! It gives wand level tight curls, on hard to curl hair, with minimal effort. There's a small learning curve for not getting everything tangled, but once you're past that, it's a breeze! It didn't take any longer than usual to curl my whole head which is THICK. It didn't speed up the process, but it certainly took the drag and aches out of it! There is no heat adjustment minus the low and high setting, but my hair feels food and looks shiny. Obviously continued use will cause heat damage, but for the occasional styling, this is perfect. I'll test the longevity of the curls and update if need be, but as of now the effort was minimal, and the curls truly are salon quality and beautiful!

Easiest/quickest pro-tip hair tool!
I first bought this product in 2016 and again in 2020 after the power started flickering on/off and stopped working (but I think it served it's time well over 4 years of near-daily use!). 4 years since repurchasing and it's still working great. Only [mild] grief is that over time the spinning prongs began to snap off, but still works decently! I just have to feed my hair into the primary/front prong closest to the barrel before spinning (vs. I could previously do this one-handed by holding the curler to my head/hair and the spin button would grab/feed the hair and hold it for me). Came back to this product to repurchase for the convenience of having those extra prongs (and $50 doesn't feel like an unreasonable splurge to repurchase after 4 years). The curler has 2 rotating options and 2 heat settings (high/low), but I've only used the low due to having thin/fine hair. It's never, ever damaged my hair and is super great at 'polishing' any frizz/dry-looking hair w/a quick run through. If I'm trying to reduce heat damage on my hair, I'll often just add bigger sections for less amount of time, just to smooth it out and add some body. I can literally use this tool mindlessly due to being able to feel/physically control the rotating/spin button and w/o reliance on a mirror to carefully feed pieces into the barrel/insert. For every day/causal use, I can just run the curler around my head, letting it grab pieces and letting go. Def brush hair before trying this method, but if it does tangle/get caught, just use the other rotation button to unwind it. I would NOT recommend my lazy one-handed technique w/more textured/thicker hair or it WILL tangle. My hair is VERY straight and will go flat nearly instantly after using a normal curling iron. Somehow, I can curl my hair with this thing once a week and it will literally last the whole week w/o really needing a touchup. Idk how it works, but I LOVE IT!

Two versions of the same machine, don't know which you're getting.
This is the second device I have purchased. I purchased one for myself and loved it so much, I bought my sister one. The reason for the 4 stars is pretty simple. This device (the second device purchased) is different from the first in small ways. For me, I prefer the initial device I purchased over the one my sister received, however, it still works very very well. 1. The initial purchase came with a brunette on the front of the box. The BRUNETTE box is the one I prefer because it beeps. The unit is the same, however the unit beeps (1) when you turn it on, (2) when it reaches temperature [about 45-60 seconds at most], and finally (3) when you should remove the wand from your hair [about 5-8 seconds after you stop winding]. 2. The second purchase (THIS PURCHASE) came with a BLONDE on the box, and what appeared to be French translations (probably for French Canada). This device looks and feels the same, but it is missing the beeps. It makes no sound when it heats up, no sound when turned on, and no sound when it's time to release the curl. It does make a strange clicking noise and the light flashes (but it seems more like a short circuit than an intentional flash). This curler takes a little bit of time getting used to, but once you get the hang of it - it is AWESOME. My thick hair normally doesn't hold a curl or wave and I can sleep on these and they'll stay in. My sister's hair is thinner than mine, and hers looks great. I had to FaceTime her to show her the proper way to use it. Once she got the hang of it, she had beautiful, full-bodies curls and waves. Overall, I wish there was some way to know which device was being delivered. I prefer the one that beeps over the one that doesn't - but they both yield the same results. I will update with photos/videos of what I mean when I get home later tonight or tomorrow.

Beautiful curls created by this magnificent curling Iron
At first, it takes a little bit of getting use to, but not long. I have waist long, foiled blonde hair that is fine but thick (I have lots of fine, thick hair). This curling iron heats up fast, has a low setting and a high setting, beeps when it is done curling the strands and beeps when it is re-heated for the next strands to be curled; all is quite fast. It makes perfect curls every time. For the price, ease of use and consistent curling results, this is a winner for me! If I want the curls to stay tight, I'll lightly spray my ends but if I want some beautiful waves, I skip the spray. Also, I always use a heat protectant before curling.

NOT as easy as they make it seem... this goes in the hair tool graveyard.
I have super long, straight, thin/fine, smooth hair that doesn't hold curls well. I have bought so many different hair tools over the years to make curling easier that inevitably go in a bin and are never used again. I bought this Kiss Instawave Curler because of the good reviews, and now it lives in the discarded hair tool bin. The price is VERY reasonable compared to some other automatic curlers on the market. The instructions are clear and after reading them and watching several videos, I decided to give it a try. It is NOT that easy... My hair is so soft/smooth that it kind of just flops around the barrel and doesn't get a good curl going. By the time I get it wrapped, I get uneven heat exposure to the whole strand with MOST of the heat in the ends (not good). My hair also ends up wrapping weird so I don't get a uniform ringlet but rather a kind of cyclone... I also end up getting some hair stuck in the tool which is my absolute worst nightmare. I really had hoped to love this, but it just didn't work for me and I gave it a good college try. After this, I bought a Beachwaver and even though it's more expensive, it is worth it. The Beachwaver does what I had hoped the Kiss Instawave would do. So if you are looking for an automatic haircurler that's easy to use and makes beautiful curls every time without damaging your ends, I DON'T recommend buying this one. I would recommend spending the extra money and getting a Beachwaver instead. Hope this helps!

Awesomeness
So curling your hair is a chore? I know it is for mine. I have medium length thick hair. I hate using a curling iron. It is such a pain. I am a middle aged lady, that have shoulders that without any effort can lift food to my mouth, probably more times than I need, but hate lifting any hair appliance. I have gotten tired of having constantly to straighten my hair or go witn my natural curly poof. I wanted something a little more current, maybe nicer? This curling iron is absolutely it. It takes very little effort, and it does a fantastic job. I section off my hair, let it go on the curling iron, and it's good. The curls will last me 24 hours, even with sleeping on them. And I tend to play with my hair a lot, and the curls can even last up through that. I don't use any product in my hair, except argan oil when I get out of the shower. I don't put any hairspray in it to hold the curl, and they still hold. I compared this curling iron to another well-known one that is similar in appearance. I like the fact that the barrel on this one is considerably longer. It can take larger chunks of hair, which cuts down the time that you were actually styling your hair. I have used this repeatedly, practically abusing it and my hair at times. I have never had any issues with tangles or anything else. I have used it with big giant knots in my hair just to see if I could tangle it up, and it still worked perfectly. This curling iron is made with magic somehow. Because it makes my hair actually look nice once more.

Curls for days! Humidity+long hair=perfection!
The curling iron does take a moment to get the hang of the auto turn; but it is beyond amazing once you do! We live on a SUPER HUMID island & normally when I curl my hair and step outside it immediately drops the curl and frizzes. Not only did it stay curled (pics are the next day AND after brushing the curls!) but it’s shiny & not frizzy like normal here! The auto turn feature is really incredible if you struggle to hold a curling iron up and turn it over and over but I have very long hair; I was concerned about the ability to wrap my hair in the barrel. It worked perfectly! The curling iron times it so when you stop turning it, it then times the curl and beeps to tell you it’s done. Stop waiting & buy it now! Especially if you have long hair or live in a humid environment!
