Buy it
This shirt is awesome. I ordered it for a Mary Poppins costume but I’ll be wearing it a lot. It fits me like it was tailored, which is crazy since it’s a random Amazon find. The fabric feels nice on my skin. It has just enough stretch that you can move your arms freely without it feeling tight across the bust, back, or arms themselves. The pretty pearl buttons are a plus. The shirt was shipped folded up in a small bag but all I see are a few creases along the lower arms so I’d say there’s no need to worry about wrinkles. The biggest part that blows my mind is the fabric is sheer, giving you that lacy Edwardian period feel, but apparently it’s not see through. I opened this package after I’d already put on my lounge-around clothes and was not intending on taking a picture so I didn’t bother to put a bra back on. I have an olive complexion, so on the darker side up there (sometimes you need TMI on a product review). As you can see from my picture it is not obvious that I’m free winging it. Okay so ignore my shape because that does make it obvious, but that’s got nothing to do with the shirt. I’m over 50 and breastfed my children. That being said, I can tell that I will have no issues when I do have the girls in place. I hate it when a shirt gaps between buttons and I have to wear a tank or camisole underneath. I live it South Alabama for Pete’s sake where it’s generally 115 degrees with 102% humidity. That’s a big no thank you to layering. For reference I’m 5 ft 6 and weigh 155 lbs. On the regular I wear a 34D, size 8 pant & medium shirt. I ordered the size 12 and it’s perfect I’m about to buy the black collared one as well.

Runs very small
I love this shirt! However I had to order 3 sizes to get the right fit. I am normally a xs/s. I ended up ordering s,m,lg. I kept the large and it is still a snug fit. It describes it as a US size 6, large. It is more like a US 2. So I'd order up at least two sizes. Once you find the right fit, this is a beautiful shirt and I love it!

Size up!
I think this blouse is lovely, and exactly what I was looking for. It is very soft, A nice thickness, and easy to wear. However ... it is a very slim fit. I ordered one size above the recommended size, and it was still too small. I have to return it and get TWO sizes bigger than my usual size.

Fits great, lining makes it NOT see through
I'm busy and so many button up shirts stretch over my ample bosoms. This blouse fit so well and the lining gives me some security that my underclothes aren't visible. It is so soft and good quality. The color is gorgeous and I love the fancy pearl buttons. I'm 5'6" and weigh about 170lbs, with a DD cup size and an 8 for great. I feel like the next size up would have been just a little too baggy for my purposes, but would still fit nicely if you have slightly broader shoulders than I do.

Sizing is way off.
Lovely blouse. What I wanted for a special event. Ordered Large. I wear size 14. This would not even meet at front and I am not full figured. Suitable for a young girl. Will try to return. I had not opened upon receipt. Saving for a special event. Didn't happen.

Good Synthetic Victorian/Edwardian-looking Shirt
To start out, I want to thank everyone who left a review with their sizes and a photo of the shirt they got. It really helped me to pick the right size for me. I’m almost 5’7” tall; bust 45”;Waist 36”; Hip 46.5”. I usually wear a US size 16/18; XL/2XL. I believe the sizes listed for this shirt are the Asian sizes: Size 6XL was the right fit for me. It fits well across the chest without any gapping between buttons. The shirt length is long enough that I can tuck it into a skirt or trousers. The shirt is loose at the waist, not fitted, so I paired it with a close-fitting vest and added a set of brass bee lapel-clips (I don’t know what else to call them) at the collar. The fabric is synthetic. It has a bit of give to it — I’m not sure I would call it “stretchy” — it’s not restrictive, and is soft to the touch. It’s quite comfortable. I’m wearing a black tanktop under this, so I’m not sure how sheer the fabric is, but it seems to keep me nicely covered up.I think, at some point, I will replace the buttons, since the shiny gold rims are a little at odds with the brass metal color I prefer. There seem to be some loose threads around the buttonholes which catch on the buttons when I’m buttoning/unbuttoning the shirt.I could wish the sleeves were a little longer too, but that’s just because I like my sleeves to come a little past my wrists. The length they are now is not a dealbreaker. All in all, I am really happy with this shirt. It’s a good modern Victorian/Edwardian stand-in that fits me well. I would definitely order it again.

Best work shirt ever made
It doesn’t get any better than this. Not see through. No popping buttons for a large bust. Wearable in the hottest of walks to the office. Does not make you sweat. If I could buy 10, I would buy 10.
