I'm not a fan of Miracle Whip. I prefer Hellman's/Best Foods Mayo. Is the Kewpie Mayo closer to Hellman's/BF or Miracle Whip?

It is closer to hellman's. Kewpie mayo is the best seller mayo in Japan. I really don't like Miracle whip at all.

Does this mayonnaise have to be refridgerated before it is open?

Before opening it can be stored outside the refrigerator. Instructions are on the package. After removing the silver foil located under the red cap, it must be stored in the refrigerator.

Mine arrived completely separated. Is this normal?

Mayonnaise can separate if frozen. Do not use it . Refrigerate after opening. Do not freeze.
