Great strainer bag filter
This works great for all of the purposes I've tried it with. I haven't tried it for Kava yet, but have found many uses. I primarily use it for making milk kefir and it works great! I love that it has a wide opening and is big enough to hold a lot of product so it's really easy to use and clean. It is strong to so it should last for a long time as well. It seems like a decent price, so I will be buying more of these as time goes by, but it has lasted longer than I expected.

Disappointed, but not because of the product
I wish I could give it 5 stars, but it wouldn't work for what I was hoping and since I don't have a use for it that it was intended for, I can say for sure it deserves a 5 and it's really important to me that I am honest. It's a draw string pouch made of a material similar to, but much heavier duty, the super high-end fancy herbal teabags I have sometimes been gifted with. It seems excellent quality. It's a quality job on construction. All the seams are finished very nicely and overcast and left to be on the outside so they don't make it more of a mess when you use it to strain something. I'm just really bummed I can't use it as I was hoping. I make homemade yogurt and I was really hoping I could use this to hang and strain it so it's extra thick (I like to stand the wooden spoon in it like sour cream) and while I absolutely could, it would be SUCH an absolute mess and horror to get it out when it was done. I suspect I would end up losing as much stuck in the bag as I would get out. It would be great for huge batched of an herbal infusion or in the process of making alcohol fermentations and so forth. But yeah, not so much for my yogurt unfortunately.

Excellent strainer bag. Used at least 60 times and very happy with it
Much better than my previous kava bag! This one is nice and durable, the mesh holes are tiny and keeps all the kava in the bag. The mesh allows the water to be squeezed out without too much effort (also dependent on how fine the grind was to begin with). I've probably made 60 batches using this bag and it's like new. It's stained from the kava, but other than that, it's perfect. I just rinse with water after every use. It dries super fast. It is made of plastic and there is always a worry in my head about microplastic leaching into my food and drink. I don't think there's an organic option that I'm willing to deal with for kava. I'm quite happy with this. I like that it's pretty large because it allows me to kinda spread the kava as I squeeze, which makes it easier to squeeze out the water.

Sturdy and easy to clean and reuse
I love how easy to use and functional this bag is. I use it whenever I have to make hash browns and want to squeeze the liquid out of the grated potatoes. The seams are sturdy and this bag is super easy to wash the starch out of after I am finished using it. I would see myself getting more if I Needed it, but I don’t think this bag is going to tear anytime soon. It’s a great quality and works wonderfully.

FijiKava Kava Kava Strainer Bag
Exactly as pictured! Looks like super fine cheesecloth, finer than any I've ever owned before. I haven't gotten my Kava yet but I've used enough cheesecloth to know that this will be very effective in removing the fibers. Very excited to use as I know it'll be perfect for Kava and loose leaf teas!

Sturdy bag; good for kavalactones...
I've been using kava daily for about 4 years and I have tried both the blender and the traditional hand method. Although the blender method is so much easier and is what I default to, I was curious to see how this mesh bag compares to my cheesecloth bags that I've used for this process. This is a very sturdy bag and spacious without being too large. It is a bit less flexible than the cheesecloth bag and I think it releases more of the kava powder which is a good thing. I'm drinking kava today made using this bag and it the kavalactones are nice and strong!! If you want to go the traditional route for kava preparation, this is a useful bag to do so.

FijiKava Kava Kava Strainer Bag
The FijiKava Kava Kava Strainer Bag has been a reliable tool for preparing smooth and enjoyable kava beverages. Its premium mesh design effectively filters out unwanted fibers, ensuring a clean and rich drink every time. I’ve used it with kava root powder, and the results have been consistently impressive—the mesh extracts the kavalactones efficiently, delivering the desired calming effects. My favorite was the durability of the bag. It survived various usage and washings without decreasing in quality, ripping, or getting frayed. The bag's size is suitable for its application with great volumes, such as for a group or an individual. A good touch with the drawstring is that it cinches shut and holds whatever it contains as well as filters the contents as one strains them through it. One minor drawback that I discovered is that the mesh is a little finicky to get completely cleaned, especially if the kava powder is very fine. A bit more washing will usually suffice, though. Secondly, while the bag is great, it doesn't have instructions for first-timers, which might be helpful for newbies with kava preparation.
