Love love love!
I already owned one of these medium check in suitcases, a large check-in, and two carry-one, but b/c the large was SO large (bigger than most airlines allow without a hefty fee), I wanted a second medium. It’s well-made, has nice features, and won’t completely break the bank, like some other of the better brands. The features I love the most are the ergonomic handles, made just right for pushing the case and very durable. The smooth rolling wheels that orient themselves are the BEST to push around, making the Travelpro Platinum Elite libe a dream.

Quality Luggage
I have been traveling for over 13 years about 3 months a year. I have just retired and had decided to purchase a good set of luggage, as eventually my wife and I will be moving to Europe and traveling extensively. I did a lot of research before purchasing anything. My first choice was Briggs and Riley. I purchased their hard side Torq and was extremely disappointed. It felt cheap, and the color, I ordered the green, looked black unless you were in direct sunlight. I sent it back. I then looked at soft sided luggage. I kept reading the Briggs and Riley had the incredible warranty of a lifetime guarantee. When I was looking at Travelpro, their warranty for the soft side Platinum Elite is also a lifetime guarantee. Their other products are not, just the soft sided Platinum Elite. Then I looked at the features. Briggs and Riley have a compressions system on their top-of-the-line suitcases. But the price to have that is system is a lot, $409.00 for the medium spinner and $338.00 for the carry-on above the Travelpro prices for the same thing. And, Travelpro does have sales once in a while where Briggs and Riley do not. From my observations, Travelpro has the same quality, the same smooth wheels, and the same warranty as Briggs and Riley at about half the cost. For the compression, you can get a set of Travelpro Compression Cubes that work extremely well. For the medium check-in suitcase, there is a fold out on the inside lid for putting shirts and/or pants and/or dresses that works very well. I can fit about 6 to 8 shirts, using my hangers, and they do not wrinkle! I just take out the shirts on the hangers and hang them up, so easy and convenient. I purchased the medium check-in, the international carry-on, and an Altitude backpack (to use for my c-pap machine then can use for sightseeing!) My suitcases are in the classic grey. I then purchased my wife the medium check-in and the standard carry-on in the olive green for Christmas. I think that color is awesome! I like that almost better then the grey. I also like the quality of the material and the YKK zippers for all the suitcases. Very heavy duty. On a side note, Briggs and Riley came up with a compression system in the ZDX series where you open the zipper to expand the suitcase then, once packed, zip it up to compress the clothes. My question would be, can’t you do the same with a Travelpro? Just unzip the expanding portion of the suitcase, then once packed, zip that up? And the B & R ZDK is about $240.00 more expensive for the medium than the top-of-the-line Travelpro! Why pay the extra money? I would definitely recommend these suitcases to all my friends and family!

Great bag, great service.
The suitcase arrived on time and in perfect condition. I took the suitcase on a trip and it appears to be very durable. The spinner wheels work well. The bag weight is very light.

Light Weight , Well Constructed, and Functional
After having a great experience with my carry-on Travelpro, I opted for this mid-sized checked version. The bag is very light weight, but it doesn't feel at all flimsy. The construction is first rate, the zippers feel sturdy and move smoothly. Likewise the handle, effortlessly retracts and expands with smooth precision, yet never feels loose or wobbly. The wheels are smooth, and the bag glides effortlessly around tight corners when navigating airport serpentine lines. The layout of the various pouches and compartments is well thought through and allows you to pack in a logical manner. The suiter is my least favorite feature. It is the same design as the one form my carry-on bag which I found to be acceptable, but not great. To be honest, I usually just remove it more often than not these days. While there are less expensive bags on the market, I have become convinced that Travelpro is worth the extra cost. Overall, a great bag that I highly recommend.

Good luggage, with a fatal unnecessary flaw
It's a very well thought out luggage that'd be perfect if it wasn't for the terrible faux leather. It just falls apart, and if you live in humid environment, it'll fall apart on its own with almost no use in <2 years. I thought I'm buying a luggage for life, but this is anything but. Such a shame, otherwise very well designed luggage. The photos are after less than 10 flights. Everything that's from that faux leather just disintegrated. It never got wet or anything, I just live a humid part of the world.

Stylish, Sturdy, and Worth Every Penny
This luggage offers excellent organization and a stunning design. The zippers are sturdy, and the well-designed interior enhances functionality. The wheels glide smoothly, and it includes all the essential features for check-in luggage. It’s a premium purchase, but every dollar feels well spent.

AFTER TRIP UPDATE : The luggage appearance is like new after checking it 4 times. The wheels are still rolling smoothly despite enduring medieval cobblestone streets (I really thought they'd break, but no). I got the Platinum Elite 25 from Amazon Warehouse Deals at less than half the listed price! Except for a very slight scratch on the top leather handle, it was in pristine condition, and I was also able to register the product online without problem. Despite some reviews I read online, the front metal zipper was working fine. I still lubricated it with graphite powder and wax paper to prevent breakage and it glides very well now. The spinner wheels roll smoothly, the handle feels sturdy in hand, and the luggage is easy to maneuver. The expansion feature doesn't really add volume to the luggage, I think it only serves the purpose of being able to use the optional clothes hanger. I probably won't use the provided plastic toiletry bag but it's nice to have the option to unzip it off.

on réalise en la manipulant que c'est un produit haut de gamme. Je possèdes deux autres Travelpro mais le model versa pack lequels sont très bons aussi. La élite est plus soigné et a un beau look avec ses poignées en cuir.

I have purchased several Travelpro bags over the years. I bought this one for my wife. She as been on two business trips and upon packing for he third trip something was wrong... Typically there are two zipper closers on each zipper but one was completely missing. No apparent damage to the zipper itself but the functional part was just gone. Pretty bad this happened so soon.
