ALTRA Men's Escalante Racer 2 Trainers, White, 40 EU

These shoes are great. They are wide, with a breathable upper (a must in hot climates), that is strong and sturdy. I have used them for a 21 km run out of the box and there was nothing off, no strange roughness or hard rubbing. The cushion was more firm, but it's very nice in this way.

Une fois la chaussure enfilée, on se demande pourquoi il subsiste un tel espace à l'arrière et sur les cotés du talon... une espèce de vide sanitaire qu'on ne retrouve pas sur L'escalante 4 et dont on se demande à quoi il peut bien servir !?

Mesh uppers are super breathable. They wear similarly to other Altra models. Nice and light with not too much cushion. I wouldn't recommend unless you are accustomed to zero drop shoes. If you are, they are the best for racing.

Comfortable and lightweight, and they have good ventilation and dry quickly. They are zero drop and have a wide toe box. I'm transitioning to barefoot shoes and these are ideal for longer road runs. I've done a half marathon in them with no issues. Can't say how long they'll last but I've done 45 miles so far and can't see any wear yet. There was a good review on runrepeat and I couldn't find the normal Escalante in my size, so got these instead, and I think they might be better.

Quando aggiornano delle scarpe da running con cui mi sono trovato benissimo, ho sempre il timore di aggiornamenti che stravolgono la bontà della versione precedente. Timore infondato stavolta. In più, trovate ad un prezzo molto interessante su amazon (105€, quando altra le vende a 140€)
