Pricey, but seems like good stuff.
Note: This product is a bit pricey, while it seems to work well, my ultimate recommendation is to learn to make your own similar mixes.I have been using this as an additive of sorts rather than a potting soil mix. Sprinkling some into holes for transplants, mixing it into my own potting mixes, it has been working very well so far.The only bad thing about this product is the price in comparison to simply learning how to make your own mixes, you can get so much more out of making your own if you shop right.I am a firm believer in both worm castings and biochar. This product having both is very convenient and serves me well when I don't have a ready mix of my own to use on hand too.Yes, I recommend this product if you are willing to pay the price tag. It seems to be as described from what I can tell, and I have not had any using it issues yet. No complaints besides the price being high.Another Note: For anyone who cares I tried something different this year. In short, I am composting in-place, and my plants are getting planted right into the compost. But I put potting mixes in their holes so they are not planted directly into the compost but can reach out into it to take advantage of all the nutrients. Has been working really really well so far, plants are seeming to love it along with the biohar, kelp and worm castings.

Happy Wife, Happy Plants: My Take on Wakefield Biochar Potting Mix
Alright, so I'm not gonna lie, I don't know the first thing about potting soil. My wife, on the other hand, she's got a green thumb that would make a botanist jealous. Our house is basically a jungle, with plants of all shapes and sizes taking over every corner. She's always on the lookout for the best soil, the perfect fertilizer, you name it.So when I saw this Wakefield Premium Biochar Potting Mix, I figured it was worth a shot. It sounded fancy with all that "CarbonBoost" and "professional grade" stuff, so I figured it had to be good, right?Well, I'll be darned if her plants aren't thriving like never before. I mean, they were always healthy, but now they're practically bursting out of their pots. The leaves are greener, the blooms are bigger, it's like they're on steroids or something. She explained to me that it's got something to do with the biochar, which helps the soil hold water and nutrients better. Whatever it is, it's working. She's even got that finicky orchid she's been babying for years finally blooming, and that's saying something. Now, the only thing I'm not crazy about is the price. It's definitely more expensive than the regular stuff she usually buys. But hey, happy wife, happy plants, happy life, right? And with the way her plants are growing, I might have to invest in some bigger pots soon anyway.Overall, I'm impressed with this Wakefield Biochar Potting Mix. It seems to be doing wonders for her plants, and that's all that matters. If you've got a plant lover in your life, I'd say give this stuff a try. You might just be surprised at the results.Alright, so I'm not gonna lie, I don't know the first thing about potting soil. Unbelievable soil!
This stuff is unbelievable! I put some cuttings in there and they started propagating the next day! And it's the fastest growing plant I have now. No scent, and the soil does look like it's rich in nutrients. I've added some of it to some other plants that weren't doing that great, and I can tell they love this stuff! Best soil I have ever used.

Good diverse potting soil-TINY bag for the price
It is a good thing this is a soil amendment to help boost your potting soil because the bag is so small, it would barely fill one of my large houseplant pots. With the temps being in the single digits around here, I have not repotted any plants yet, but I will edit my post if/when I start to see any noticeable results with my indoor plants. I do like the "ingredients": mycorrhizae, worm castings, pine bark, etc. All great additions for a healthy, productive soil.I don't particularly like the safety warnings that state "Keep out of reach of children and pets. Not for use on food crops". I hope people read that if they have pets that like to dig in their potted plants or are planning to repot indoor herbs. They also warn "Always wear gloves and protective clothing when handling". Yet the woman in the picture repotting a plant is not wearing gloves. Lol.Just a suggestion to read the fine print.

Great mix!!
I recently tried Wakefield’s premium biochar, and it’s been a great addition to my indoor plant care routine! While the recommended 50/50 mix means you go through the bag quickly, I’ve found that even using less still gives noticeable results. My dracaena looks perkier, and I’m excited to see how my other plants respond. One thing I love is how it helps with moisture retention without waterlogging, which makes it perfect for plants prone to root rot—my money tree is next on my list to try it with! The charcoal-like texture is a nice touch, improving drainage and enriching the soil. It can be a bit messy, leaving some residue on my hands and workspace, but that’s a small trade-off for healthier plants. The biggest downside is the bag size. It fills about two 6-inch pots, so I’ll need more if I want to use it for larger projects. While I wish the bags were bigger for the price, I’m still happy with the quality. If you’re looking to give your plants a little extra boost, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try! Just be ready for a bit of cleanup afterward.
