Really, REALLY nice!
I recently bought the GTK1 Fixed Tanto Blade Knife on Amazon and although I 'was not' a big fan of the Tanto type blades on knives, I found it to be my NEW favorite knife because it just feels so good in your hands. I just wanted to keep on holding it, it is a hefty knife, for sure. This new knife, the GTK9 Fixed Blade Knife, is equally as good and feels the same in hand, which is VERY NICE!While this blade on this drop point blade is slightly shorter, the feeling of power is still there, you won't want to put it down, it just feels that good in your hand, it makes you want to split wood even if you don't have a fireplace. Both of these knives will come in handy for camping, at home, or carrying in your vehicle in case you need a good, strong, sharp knife. The sheath on my GTK9 Fixed Blade Knife, while nice, it is not quite as good as the GTK1 Fixed Tanto Blade Knife's sheath. The reason being is, the knife DOES move around inside when shaken, but only slightly, I am sure that can be remedied very easy with a heat gun or a hair dryer, I'm just saying...Also, this particular sheath does NOT have the adjustable belt clip, this one has the metal slide-on belt clip. They are BOTH good, it's just that might be something you either like, or dislike on one or the other. This GTK9 sheath has a cut-out area design around the outer perimeter, I don't know why it's there, I don't care for that, but it's not a deal breaker, the GTK1 version has a much better sheath in appearance for my tastes. The GTK9 Fixed Blade Knife's blade has a hole at the butt of it for adding a leather strap, cording, or, whatever you want, or, don't want.I plan on adding a lanyard with lanyard beads, just because I want to, and I like making them, there is no added benefit except to make it your own, just a little more, plus, it makes for a pretty good hanger when not in use.GTK1 Blade has an etched/lasered design on it, and the blade itself is black, whereas this GTK9 Fixed Blade Knife has none of that. The blade is ground to a semi-satin sheen, you can see slight grinding marks, which, doesn't detract from the feel or actual quality of it, but some may not care for it.Personally, not being a knife snob, I don't care if it has the grind marks, I actually don't care for a perfect looking polished knife.Anyway, my initial impression of this knife is almost what I felt for the other knife from the same company, which is GOOD, but I don't like the sheath quite as much as the other, that's about it.I will say that I am a believer in the GTK brand knives now, I love how they look, feel, and the literal heft of them, it makes it an experience, a good one.If you choose to buy either, or, both, I doubt that you would regret that decision due to the quality feel and look, and I am just guessing that they will last a very long time.Oh yeah, the 30% coupon (5-13-25) makes the price come down from $49.99 to $34.99, which is a REALLY GOOD thing!

Sweet Beast
This knife is unexpectedly large. The match of the handle scales to the steel was not very good. I had to whittle on them for a bit to remove the sharp edges. The edge was not sharp and the bevel was not what I wanted it to be. I think that I spent more time using the WKTS on this knife than any other before it. It's big, the steel is hard, and getting it to a 20 deg bevel on each side took a lot of steel removal. But when all this was done, this is a sweet beast. It is big and heavy, but now it's also sharp. Sometimes that's what you want.

Excellent
I ordered 3 different knives from GTKii, the Gtk2, 8 and 9. These knives exceeded my expectations related to price. These are quality knives made of quality steels. They came in new and quality condition. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other knives from GTKii.
