I actually got this as a nice thing to do with my brother's family. It was a good set to build with his family on Friday night. My nephew absolutely loves to build things. This set was definitely harder to build than many other set. There are small pieces but at least all the pieces are made of sturdy material so you do not have to worry about it breaking off easily. One thing to be aware of is that this set is not the easiest to build. On a scale of 1 to 10. I would say it is about a 9 because of all the small pieces. Regardless, it was really fun to build together with my family. My nephew really enjoyed this set after it was completed. I puts it in his room on the shelf now. Again it has a ton of small pieces and takes a bit of a delicate hand. There are pieces you can easily lose if you are not careful. It can provide several hours of build time for you. The house honestly is pretty big so make sure you actually have shelf space or an area to put this once it is completed. The house gives me a bit of a harry potter vibe just based on the decorum. I do like having the lighting to help match the house. The house itself is VERY detailed. I am able to put like mini figures on this as well just to add some people to this. The piece itself is not too heavy so you can easily move this around if needed just do not drop it. It is somewhat easy to dust as needed. Overall I would say this is a very nice house set to have if you are into model building. It is pretty difficult to build and not exactly for little kids. The pieces are pretty small. I do like all the decorations and how detailed this is. The material is very and well designed.

TLDR: overall a great kit with high quality parts and straightforward construction This was my first ever build kit other than legos. I’m now obsessed! This is a great kit for adults who have some experience but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone brand new to kit building. The tools that were included were very cheap and pretty much worthless. I ended up using my own xacto knife, scissors, and tweezers. I also had to get glue and would also not recommend this for newbies due to the glue. It was very messy if you mess up. Some of the instructions were vague, but easy to figure out. I didn’t love the color of some of the wood pieces, so I did use acrylic markers to change the color of some of the parts to my liking. The wiring of the lights was easier than I thought, but the steps to connecting the wires could have used more details. Another reason why this wouldn’t be good for newbies. The paper was very nice and detailed. The wood was thick and very good quality.

This particular brand requires lots of things. Paper cutting, none of the papers are die cut. Everything needs to be cut out by hand. All the papers for the walls and the floors need to be glued down. The manual is very inadequate. It's small, and so sometimes you have to enlarge pages, to see what you need to do. Steps are left missing. Nevertheless it turned out quite nicely. Wiring diagrams would really help. There's some, but not enough, and a touch sensor on the lights would make everything work better.

I just started this hobby. The first one I ordered, while I was having fun putting it together, it was very, very small & I had a very difficult time w the small details due to arthritis in my hands. THIS one is bigger. The instructions are also easier to follow bc, again, bigger. You can see clearly HOW things are supposed to be glued (how the corners match up). The small cut-out paper details have handy tabs where you glue them, giving the glue something to adhere to. All the little details are amazing. The way the instructions are set up, it's room by room (the furniture, details, etc.). You put the details together then when everything's done, you decorate the house.
