Great upgrade from the original small battery. I do robotic installations almost weekly all over the US and Canada, one original battery would last me an install, usually two whole days, but, if I had to drill extra holes, then I would have to charge it (not a big deal at all since it only takes about 15 to 20minutes max to charge 100%). With this big boy, not only it would last me for the whole workweek but, you also get a lot more torque so careful if you use the impact drill! -as ai do- It will be more powerfull, but nothing "uncontrolable" if you are a pro. To charge it from dead to 100% takes about 45 mins to an hour, so on the third day when I go to lunch I just leave it charging and that will be more than enough, with no down time due to the drill at all. So, if you want a more "dependable" battery life and more output power, this is it. Since I was not used to the led charge indicating bar, I barely use it and just go more by "feeling" and experience than pressing the little button to know how much charge still has... so I barely do that, specially since I know it will last me for a while. ***Note***if you are a road warrior: you might know this by now but I always test my drill as soon as I get to my Customer's facility cause it has happened that the drill gets activated while on the plane and by the time I land, the battery could be dead... to prevent this from happening probably about 95%, put the button for the drill direction in the middle, where the drill will not go forward or backwards when you press the trigger on it.
