A great read
My Dad originally from the Dingle area,Liverpool, so I spend a lot of time in the City. As a Beatles fan I love learning more and more about the band. Reading this book,(fascinating) I've visited a number of the places mentioned and obviously a lot more to visit. This book is highly informative. A must read for Beatles fans.

If you're a Beatles fan & visiting Liverpool, this book is for you!
Well packaged books. Delivered very quickly. Great photographs most of us will never have seen before. I've followed the Beatles since 1963. Actually made it to Liverpool this year & visited some of the most famous spots but there's a lot more to discover...on my next trip. Father Christmas is treating me to something I really want this year. A treasured gift.

Beatles tour of Liverpool
A really good tour of the places around Liverpool associated with The Beatles in the early days. It is very informative and well written (apart from one wrongly used word; he talks about their fame growing at an expediential rate - it should be exponential.), and well organized in chapters for each location. The before and after pictures and maps add another dimension. There is lots of information that was new to me and some interesting facts about the history of some of the landmarks. I bought this for my husband who lived in Speke and went to the Liverpool Institute a few years after Paul. He hasn't read it yet but I loved it!

A Must Read for Any Beatles Fan
I'm traveling to Liverpool the end of August for a trip dedicated to seeing places important to "The Beatles." I was looking for a book which would discuss these places and provide me with information I might not be familiar with. Well, I found the perfect book. Daniel Longman's "The Beatles' Landmarks in Liverpool" is an excellent read from cover to cover. I thought I knew most everything about "The Beatles" but I learned quickly I did not. Anyhow, I feel I am much better prepared for my Beatles trip to Liverpool. One more thing...the forward by Bill Harry was most excellent. Thank you Dan for publishing such a great book!

Shame about the English.
As an avid, life-long, Beatles fan, I much enjoyed what this book was supposed to be imparting to me, but I have strong reservations about how illiterately it was trying to do this. It gives every impression of having been thrown together in a hurry, and never proof-read. There are many instances of sheer bad expression (making the meaning unclear), and some shocking homophonic errors. Apparently, documents bare [sic] signatures, and shipping tycoons are magnets [sic], and so on. The subject deserves a much more professional approach than it has been granted here.
