the retaining ring is not attached to the foam, meaning it is very hard to put on and keep on properly. This is noticeably worse quality than the wind screen that comes with the sm7b. the purple is also MUCH darker and less vibrant than advertised.

I didn't know what I was expecting honestly, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. My original windscreen got mangled by a kitten and didn't like the look of the second "fatter" one that come with my SM7B- this replacement worked great, all I had to do was hydrate it in water and let it dry and it fit like a glove. The color options are cool, adds a little something without looking over the top or anything. TL;DR Good product, at a good price- and as long as you hydrate the foam in water and let it air dry you'll be fine.
