The metal body feels sturdy, not cheap, and the knobs (volume, bass, treble) turn nice and smooth, no wobbly junk here. The LCD screen is a game-changer! It actually shows what's going on—input, volume, even the Bluetooth codec. No more guessing if you're on the right setting. The lcd could be better with better colors Well go áreas to the sound test I test this amp with my Sony and pioneer speakers and let me told you those Came Alive! I hooked this little beast up to two of my favorite budget bookshelf speakers: 1. Sony SSCS5 (bright and detailed) 2. Pioneer BS22-LR (warm and smooth) With the Sony SSCS5: - The highs were crisp but not harsh—the treble knob helped tone down the Sony's sometimes sharp sound. - Vocals sounded super clear—like Norah Jones was right in the room. - Bass was tight and punchy, but don't expect earthquake-level lows without a sub. With the Pioneer BS22-LR: - These speakers love power, and the A80's 80W (at 4Ω) made them sing. - Jazz and acoustic tracks (think Diana Krall) sounded full and rich. - The bass boost added just enough oomph without making things muddy. Bluetooth? Way better than I expected! Streaming from Spotify/Tidal sounded almost as good as wired. No lag for movies either. This is a good difference between this to the a07 model that sound great too.. --- A80 vs. A07 Max – What's the Upgrade? A really outstanding little unit. The sound quality is amazing. There is plenty of power for my vintage Klipsch speakers and there are inputs for just about anything you need to connect! I use it for my CD player, Bluetooth streaming from my computer and phone, my turntable, and my TV! All this in a solid little aluminum box! The VU meters add that extra touch of cool! Some have said it runs a bit hot, but I haven’t experienced that. Gets slightly warm, but nothing I’d be concerned about. Excellent quality. I’m very happy!

I’ve been using the Aiyima A80 for about a week now, and I’m really happy with it. I was looking for an all-in-one amp with good sound quality and enough input options to connect to multiple sources, and this one checked all the boxes. The display is a nice touch, although it’s a bit small from across the room. I recently decided to simplify my audio setup, and the Aiyima A80 integrated amp has been a game-changer. Instead of juggling multiple components, this compact all-in-one unit does it all—combining a high-quality TPA3255 amplifier and ES9038Q2M DAC into one very capable device. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to its wide range of inputs and outputs. A nice feature is the included 48V 5A GaN power supply, which pairs well with the amp. I was initially concerned about possible heat buildup, but so far, it's been running cool and stable. Connecting my streamer via the optical cable that came with the A80 has resulted in clean, distortion-free sound—just what I was hoping for. To my ears, the A80 delivers tight and controlled lows, clear and natural mids, and crisp highs that never feel harsh. Whether I'm listening to jazz, rock, or classical, it creates an engaging and fatigue-free listening experience. The rated 120W per channel output drives my JBL 100 speakers without effort, and the built-in tone controls let me fine-tune the treble and bass to my individual tastes. I also like that the 3.5mm Aux output gives me the option to connect an active subwoofer, although I have not yet added that to my system. One of the great features is the display—it’s a really fun touch! The VU meter and spectrum analyzer mode add some flair (I’m partial to the spectrum analyzer), making it not just an audio device but a visual centerpiece of my setup as well. The remote that came in the box allows me to easily switch VU modes from the comfort of my listening position. All in all, Aiyima has delivered a fantastic, affordable Class D amp that does a good job balancing functionality, performance, and aesthetics. The solid build quality with well-placed ventilation holes, quality chipsets and PFFB circuitry tells me this amp/dac is designed to last. I am very happy with my decision to make the switch!

I've been using the A80 for several weeks now. The power is clean, the sound is as undistorted as you can reasonably expect for this price range, and the controls are excellent. The cons so far are the included power brick is only 5 amps (although definitely not a factor on my 89db sensitivity speakers) and you have to use 3.5mm auxiliary out for the sub since there's no other dedicated sub output. Overall I am very pleased and we definitely buy again.

I have both an Aiyima T9 and T9 Pro which I have used in two separate systems. In general, they left me with a positive impression of the brand, especially for the amount of functionality they incorporate in a small, affordable, box. You got a respectable DAC, adequate power, a tube buffer, preamp capability, and a reasonable amount of power. I more recently was looking over the A80 as perhaps an evolutionary improvement in the brand's offering and ordered one to give it a try. Before I go further into my impression of the A80, it should be noted that I tried it out on a challenging pair of 83db efficient 4 ohm speakers. As such, a robust high current amplifier is required. The A80 did not meet this challenge, calling in to question an inflated power delivery capability. In fact, that is my largest complaint with many of the lower cost amplifiers available on Amazon, i.e. , that the power claims don't add up to what's advertised. The A80 description claims 300 watts per channel but I don't believe that's even possible with the power supply included. When I tried to bring my speakers up to my normal listening level, which is in the realm of 75-80db for me, I started to hear clipping, evidence that the A80 could not drive the paired speakers. It also seemed that Aiyima put a lot of their effort into the user interface, at the expense of refining the amplifier itself. At that point, I went no further and began the refund request process (which Amazon makes very quick and easy). However, while this was not the right amplifier for me, it may work well for others, particularly with 8 ohm, 90 db or higher efficient, bookshelf speakers. Aiyima products are generally well regarded and I don't want to misrepresent the brand to others. Again, it just wasn't appropriate for my situation. With the rationale, that's why I am giving it 3 stars, as a product that may work in a more common use case but one that did not deliver according to the power rating as described..

Gets pretty toasty, so give it room to breathe. It has no issue driving my bookshelf speakers. Don’t have much to base on, but the DAC puts out good sound quality. It looks incredible though, would fit most design schemes. Cool screens too!

Class D amps are great. My previous amp lost one of its inputs so I shopped. This one received a good review on my favorite objective audio site--one with measurements and graphs in profusion. I use this in a small room with relatively efficient speakers. I haven't had the volume control much above one third of its travel. It includes a DAC with USB and optical inputs as well as the RCA inputs. I use the DAC. I expect even a modest priced amp to be a device that makes the input louder without changing it perceptibly. This one meets that criterion. The only con results from its size. You need to be close to it in order to see what's on the display. You need to be able to read the display in order to change inputs, especially since you have to cycle through the inputs rather than selecting the one you want directly. The remote had a longer learning curve than I wanted and the manual could have been clearer and more detailed. The VU meter and sound spectrum displays can be fun although you have to be close to them to see them well. All in all, the amp does its job well at a good price. Considering what I've paid in the past for amps, allowing for inflation, this amp as a great example of how audio equipment has gotten better and cheaper since hifi became a thing after WWII. In 1960s dollars this amp would sell for under $50. Back then $200 would get you a mid fi home amp.
