I LOVE Edifier gear....until these. The sad part is they sound amazing. They also look great. But unless you are 15 years old or less they won't fit. Literally for children. Zero adjustment to make them fit. At least my 9 year old daughter can use them. SUPER disappointed

These are different than in ear earbuds. They don’t go into your ear and provide noise isolation as you would with those. These have little speakers that sit just in front of your ear. I was skeptical of the sound quality since they do not go in ear, but surprisingly, it was pretty good. I would equate these to sort of open back headphones. So who are these for? Well if you are walking outside and want to listen to music but still want to hear the world around you these are for you. And I don’t mean that in a negative way, this is the specific design point. You can have a conversation, hear cars etc. while listening to music. So I do have Sony Noise Cancelling buds that will also have a pass through. However when it is windy or sometimes just walking I hear that sound in my ear mixed with the music. You won’t get that with these since you ears are open anyway. So comfort wise, they are average. The plastic band is pretty thing that goes around your ears so I did feel that over time around my ear. However we are all made different. I tested these on two devices. An iPhone and Nintendo Switch. It connected to each other(on at a time, not both together) and worked as you would expect. On iPhone I had it in music mode and on Switch game mode. These won’t work on PS5 as the Edifier Air 2 only supports bluetooth and the PS5 does not support bluetooth headsets. Hecate is Edifier’s gaming brand so aimed to that demographic. I’m looking forward to what Edifier will bring to the table in gaming as well as their other audio products. In the end, if you need an open back ear bud like design to hear the world (most likely at the gym or for safety when walking or biking outside) or just to be able to hear your game/music while being able to chat with you significant other, these would be the way to go. Edit 10/14/2024: I've been using these outside a lot and since they are open back, I don't hear the thumping of each step in my ear like earbuds and also I can hear traffic which is a huge plus. I increased a star and realized just how good they sound being open back.

I'm a big guy, and big guys have big parts. My ears are the reason I believe Dumbo crashed into my family tree at some point. These earphones, though, still fit on top of my ear reasonably comfortably. Better yet, I trained my elephant genetic hand-me-downs to be more discerning about sounds and sound quality. These puppies deliver on some great sound! Their clear sound comes through reliably and of similar quality to what I've experienced in some high-end full headsets. Their design obviously won't cancel out sound from around you like those full headsets can, but it's quiet enough on blasting those sweet tunes that I didn't wake up my partner sleeping next to me while using them in bed. Best part? I don't have to jam anything into my comically oversized ear canals that fail to grip standard earbuds with the strength of an Olympic luge competitor's glutes. Their over the ear design means I don't drop them like Australia dropped the ball on breakdancing. Being a Bluetooth device for audio, a risk of latency and delay of sound can be a concern. I can say confidently though that I experienced no noticeable lag in sound when listening to videos on apps like YouTube and TikTok. In fact, the lag that I could find lasted for a second on loading the video and then disappeared entirely. As for their durability, these don't feel like a cheap plastic toy you'd get from a vending machine. They have some give to them in their comfortable rubber hooks for over the ears that bend slightly when needed. Coupled with the durable charging case they come with, which also looks amazing with their lights and clear display to see the glory these earphones are, I thought I had seen everything when I saw an elephant fly, but turns out this whole new world had something new to still show me!
