Nice size and works well. Sometimes I do place foil under the lid as it doesn't seem to fit tight enough to hold a few hours of liquid in the oven. A little small for a medium roast, but doable, I"ll just get a smaller piece of meat. Would recommend this for a family of maybe 2 with leftovers.

While not the cheapest option, the HVH Ceramic Casserole Dish was FAR from the most expensive. I am so glad I sprang for the extra 10 bucks or so. I needed it for a specific beef pot pie recipe I have and it's been perfect. I suppose any casserole dish can get the job done on the most basic level. What makes me happy with this one is it's heavy build and the beautiful finish. Makes a great centerpiece and the dish itself has already gotten compliments. I went for the blue finish but they have multiple options. Definitely recommend it.
