Very pleased with the quality and appearance for this price. Installation tips in review.
Outstanding result. Very pleased with the quality and appearance for this price. The "teak" color is beautiful, I'd call it cherry with warm red and orange tones. The wood veneer is very realistic and attractive, it looks more expensive than it is. The backing is a fairly thick and sturdy synthetic felt. We are experienced diyers with a robust tool selection. Some tools that you will find helpful beyond the obvious - a large (12") speed square for marking straight cuts, sharpie marker with a fresh point, painters tape for both marking and securing the veneer for the cuts, an oscillating multitool with fresh blades, a box cutter with a fresh blade, a vacuum with a brushed crevice attachment and an electric stapler. If you have outlets or switches you'll need box extenders for them. Cutting was easy, we did do it outside as the dust is obnoxious. No trouble with the veneer chipping. Did hit a row of staples for one cut and would advise avoiding that if you can. Ruined a blade but got through it. The oscillating tool cuts the slats very well and it also cuts the felt or the sharp box cutter works good on the felt. Yes, depending on your cuts you might remove too many staples and the slats come loose from the felt. No problem, just restaple them. Mounting no problem, we used black dry wall screws and just went through the felt backing. Our wall has a lot of variance, waviness and what not and the panels accommodated without looking off.

Worth Every Penny
Great quality. Easy to cut and look fantastic. Bought more for the look than the sound benefits. Pleasantly surprised how well they work with quieting down an echoey room.

Easy installation and great quality!
My husband and I are DIY-ers, so when I showed these to him, his response was (as always) "we can do that ourselves". Normally I would agree, but I decided- for once, I wanted to make a project as easy as possible, so I bought them. SO glad I did! They are reasonably priced, and the installation is easy! No painstaking measurements, and we were done in no time! Even he is extremely happy with them. If you're on the fence, ADD TO CART now. You won't regret it.

Great Bang for the Buck!
Ordered 5x of the 4-piece 96" x 12.6" and they somehow arrive in two days from Portland, OR to very rural UT one whole day ahead of schedule. All boxes arrived well packed and without damage. I needed to cut 6" off each panel for my installation and used a table saw. Cutting can be a bit of a challenge and I recommend maybe using a staple gun to secure the slats just above where you are cutting at the ends otherwise they will swing on a table saw and it becomes a bit of a logjam, I just powered through it because I'm impatient and semi-lazy. Otherwise the cutting was pretty quick and painless. I mounted these to painted drywall using a brad nailer with 1" nails and from cutting to mounting it took less than three hours by myself. They look great, and while I would have preferred real wood, these were much cheaper for this application due to the size of the wall and the veneer looks very good. The improvement is sound quality vs. an untreated or partially treated wall is incredible and it looks claaaassy. I've used real wood versions by other manufacturers and those were great as well, but for cost to value ratio in a larger install you can't go wrong with these.

LOVE THEM! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
These slats are AMAZING! I was very skeptical about purchasing wall slats, especially this large, but now I wish I had done it sooner. Here are my pros and cons of the product: Note that in the picture listed I only used 3 panels rather than all 4. PROS: Thickness – The thickness of the slats is just right. They’re thick enough to showcase their 3D effect but not so much that they overwhelm the wall. Fit – Another set of slat panels I inspected at Lowe’s only allowed the panels to butt up against each other with no lip, which results in a poor fit and look. These, however, are designed so the slats overlap about ½ inch, allowing them to set perfectly on the felt lip. Below, I’ve included a picture of the seam between two panels after installation (the seam is between the two black screws). Finish – The slats have a wood veneer wrap on the front and both sides, so no raw MDF board is exposed. This really adds to the premium look. Shipping – The shipping was incredible. Each panel was individually shrink-wrapped and layered so that no two front faces touched; they rested against the felt instead. The box had Styrofoam all around and was very sturdy. Not a single panel was chipped or broken, even though all four panels weighed about 35lbs all together I suppose. CONS: Mounting Hardware – This wasn’t an issue for me personally, but it would have been nice if some mounting hardware were included for buyers new to semi-DIY projects. I used DeWalt Wall Anchor Screws about 1 1/4" long (AKA Wall Dogs) and then painted them with some matte black craft paint. With all that said, I HIGHLY recommend these wood slat panels to anyone looking to add natural color and texture to a space. Happy Tinkering!!!
