Great all SSD NAS product
I recently purchased the LincStation N1 SSD NAS, and I’m very pleased with my experience. This compact and lightweight device has been a great addition to my home setup. The system is incredibly quiet, which was a pleasant surprise, and its sleek design fits seamlessly into my workspace. The hardware workshop is well-designed, easy to install the SSD, setting it up was straightforward. The quality of the building is solid. It comes with an Unraid license, though I’d suggest starting with the trial license to explore the system before committing to the included one. Additionally, I want to highlight the excellent customer service. They were responsive and helpful, answering my questions promptly and ensuring I had a smooth experience. They care about their customers.

Make sure the box is sealed.
This looks like a very good product. Unfortunately, the one I received appeared to have been opened. The box was not sealed and appeared to have been opened. I started the initialization process for the free 30 day trial. It did not start where it should have, but at the next step to change the password. Someone had obviously logged in already with the default password. The process for activating the trial produced an error. I also noticed that on the top of the page it indicated an active time of over seven months. It is going back. I may try to purchase one directly because it looks like a very useful product when new.

Great storage
The little NAS that could! This compact 6 drive nas box was perfect for my needs. I loaded two 4TB drives into it and now have all my media as well as my computer backups stored on it. As a stand alone solution it would quite well for a local backup target. Overall a great little NAS for the price.

Nice device, hidden LED feature was unexpected.
This device checked all the boxes for a small home lab NAS. I come from an enterprise background and unraid was something I wanted to test out. It works really well with Unraid 7.x and ZFS for the NVME drives and wasn't very hard to figure out. It's very fast and responsive, for both SMB shares and containers. Only issue I have found is with the firmware itself on the device, there's an undocumented webpage on port 50000 that you can't turn off. This page lets you control the LEDs so not really useful, but it's not locked down and could be a vulnerability. Otherwise it's a fantastic little NAS.

good!
After a lot of comparisons and research, I finally decided on the LincStation N1. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and I’m really happy with it. LincStation is a great NAS solution as it provides flexibility to customize the system freely without exhaustive configuration and maintenance.

What a Diffcuilty to Deal With.
This product has earned a star due to poor instructions and performances. I purchased this device and it gave me a lot of difficulties to deal with. I tried to run an application that allowed me to upload photos\videos from my mobile phone to LincStation N1. Unfortunately, I spent two days to test various applications without a success. Nothing of those worked for me. Zero success at all.

Nice hardware, missing software
Overview: I do not recommend this device unless you only want it for the hardware and you think the price is right for that alone. However, there are other, more versatile competitors becoming available every day. Do not purchase this if you want a plug and play solution. Look elsewhere. My full review: There are 3 primary reasons I purchased this over building my own NAS. 1. Hardware - Low power, multiple nvme drives, quite. 2. Software - Installed and ready to go, with some flexibility. 3. Plug and play-ish - Throw in some drives and setup UnRaid. Hardware (4/5): Hardware is right on the mark for many home NAS users, including me. I just want a decent, multi nvme drive mini PC that is quiet and efficient on power. This fits the bill. It isn't spectacular in any way, but I don't need 5gbps or anything like that. Adding drives is easy, recognized them all. I even opted to use mechanical 2.5" hard drives, and they work just fine. Software (NA 0/5): I don't know how good UnRaid is because the LincStation N1 didn't come with a license in the box. Additionally, the 30 day trial ended one minute before I booted the device... seemed fishy. I tried to extend the 30 day trial and it also expired instantly. There is probably a way to reformat the included USB drive to get a new 30 day trial, but after hours of troubleshooting, I gave up and tried something else (OpenMediaVault and trueNas). Both other options I tried had plenty of issues and workarounds as well. And as another rviewer wrote, the lights just pulse and are annoying when using a different software. Yes, I purchased new directly from the LincPlus store. Shipped by Amazon. It arrived sealed in box. However, there were no tamper proof stickers anywhere and the "NEW" sticker was on the box itself, under the plastic wrap. This would make it fairly easy to unwrap it, take out the card and re-seal it with the right machine. Or for the seller to reseal/resell a return as "new" without verifying a key was removed. I will say that nothing looked used or tempered with on my unit, but that is exactly my point. Poor packaging for a unit that has a necessary and semi-valuanle key in the box. Ease of setup (0/5): One of the other reasons I purchased this was ease of setup. I decided I could afford to spend a little more money to have it work out of the box with pretty much all the hardware and software covered. That extra cost did not equate to any ease of setup for me. This was probably the worst way to go since it meant learning everything about NAS software available without expecting it. Had I built my own mini pc, I could have researched alternatives while I was accumulating parts. Support (3/5): So far LincPlus support has been responsive. They seem to be just as surprised as I was that there wasn't a UnRaid key in the box, asking me to "take a video" of some sort for confirmation. I'll update as a resolution unfolds. Update: Support ended up getting me a new for UnRaid key after some back and forth. Still haven't tested out the key or UnRaid because I've already gone another route. +2 stars for support. I still would only purchase if you plan to use/install your own software.

I just purchased the LincStation N1 and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I feel this is a cheaper and more versatile competitor compared to Asustor Flashstore that I have decided to skip on in favour of the LincSation N1. This device has exceeded all my expectations in terms of performance and software flexibility. Firstly, the setup was a breeze. I appreciated the user-friendly interface and straightforward instructions, which allowed me to get up and running in no time. Whether you're a tech novice or an experienced user, you'll find the setup process to be seamless. Easy to install the storage drives and setup the unit via network cable is simple. *Did not test the WiFi yet, as its only available via hardware passthrough only. In terms of performance, the LincStation N1 truly shines. Its powerful hardware ensures smooth and lag-free operation. (4 core CPU + 16GB RAM helps a lot, as most of the competitor in this price range only offers 4 or 8GB ram) I've experienced no slowdowns or hiccups whatsoever, which is a testament to the device's reliability in my opinion. Moreover, I have tested the 2.5GbE network connection on large media files, and I'm delighted to see that I consistently achieve transfer speeds between 250-280MB/s, which is exactly what I expected from this interface. (See pictures attached) It's reassuring to see the device perform so reliably under heavy network traffic. In the future, I intend to add larger drives and utilize Unraid's VM feature to install a Windows server. Then, this will even allow me to run a business backup software called; Veeam backup solutions. Configuring immutable backup storage in my home lab environment, I can safeguard all my work and projects, providing an added layer of protection against ransomware attacks. I can't wait to test out this configuration once my budget allows for larger NVMe drives. I can update my review on that later on of someone is interested. I'm impressed by the device's ability to handle such demanding tasks. With 16GB of RAM, it's more than capable of running a full-blown Windows VM alongside the Unraid OS, providing a seamless and efficient workflow. If you are on a market for a home storage NAS, this device is also perfect as storing media files, pictures or running applications like Plex is a breeze. This unit can fulfil any users home needs. I tested some docker features as well, works as expected. This one unit can do all for me. It will be my NAS Storage, Host for my virtual server and docker images and Plex as my home media server. I could stream 4K video content to my apple tv without any issues using Plex. Overall, I highly recommend the LincStation N1 to anyone in need of a reliable and versatile media player and storage solution. Its exceptional performance, ease of use, and robust features make it a standout choice in its category. Five stars without a doubt! Get this instead of QNAP or Asustor Flashstore product if you want to save some money.

The system looks good and after buying 3 x 8TB ssd's I thought all would be wonderful and happy times not having to coimbat HDD failures etc. 1- This is a network device that can only operate via Unraid web interface, which requires a subscription. There is limited trial licnece to use but I couldn't get this operate so in desperation, subscribed to the lowest costed subscription circa £49 at the time. 2- you need(not desirable NEED) a dedicated new USB to set up a boot USB for Unraid to work. This is not provided in the package nor mentioned on the advert for the product......from what I can see. 3- Over a week in and I am still conversing with Unraid support to get this to blooming work! I really wish i hadn't spent good money on this and on the expensive SSD's to fit into it. Around £2000 spent on this and the SSD's and, still nowhere!!! I don't consider myself to be a computer luddite, so cannot comment how other reviewers say it's swift and easy,,,, goodness knows. Obviously better than I.
