Great neck and body!
Haven’t built yet but am super impressed with the parts. The neck feels fantastic for a DIY kit - inlays both on the fingerboard and the top edge. Zero rough fret edges. Body was in good shape, already sanded- just some raised grain to remove before grain filling. Pickups have some weight and are marked 10K neck and 10.4K bridge, I’m assuming ceramic magnet but haven’t disassembled. Tuners are a 15:1 ratio and seem solid. Pots and knobs are decent. Nut is plastic - if I was going to upgrade 1 thing on inspection this would be it. Any DIY kit is for someone who either knows what they’re doing, or wants to and is willing watch some videos. If you are new - only watch videos from Gibson TV or such as most of YouTube are people who are confidently doing it wrong. Parts are good value - can’t wait to turn this into a great playing instrument!

Need to know
Fun project, cheap guitar w/cheap parts, you get what you pay for. no instructions but common sense, color coded wires 🤷🏽♂️. I’m upgrading to Seymour Duncan humbuckers and better strings. Paying a professional to install and tune. Will let you know of the sound later. I’m satisfied! Was going to pay $1,700 to have this done. And so far the guitar and parts cost me $150!

Good value for a build/painting platform
This is a good price for a whole kit. The wood is cut accurately, and I didn't really need to do much with the frets (a few sharp edges in need of fret dressing, but otherwise good). Alignment was good, and holes were drilled properly. I did have to adjust the pickup routes slightly, since they were a bit too tight for the covered pickups I used. There was a glue spot and some small cracks in the guitar- I ignored the glue spot, and the grain filler took care of the crack. I've included photos of each after finishing. I used mahogany grain filler before sealing with shellac and painting with Posca markers. The clear coat was... A journey, but I ended with oil based polyurethane. The wood is extremely light and susceptible to denting- I'm very skeptical of the mahogany claim. I unfortunately dinged this build in final assembly by bumping it against my chair. Because of the color scheme that I decided to use in painting this, I decided to use gold hardware and pickups, purchased separately, but of similar budget tier. That said, what's included is fine, and will work for a beginner who's just trying this process out. All in all, it's a great price point for a basic kit, and is an affordable way to try it out and practice painting guitars. Just be aware that finishing is a LOT of work, and takes a lot of time and expensive supplies.

Worthless junk, not even one star...
Garbage, stay away!!! You'll have more fun lighting your cash on fire! Or tossing it in a river.

Quality
Quality is fair, electronics are not good at all, had to order better humbachers. Absolutely no instruction to build this guitar. Their web site did not work at all. Had to struggle with this build.

Some experience in guitar kit assembly and guitar setup will be very helpful.
This kit is an inexpensive way to start your journey in guitar assembly and modification. The parts supplied can be used, but upgrade of the pickups is recommended. The tuners work well. I used Rit dye to stain the body and neck. I sealed the finish with spray-on satin acrylic clear. Sanding was required before applying the finish. I look forward to purchasing this kit again.
