did it my way to make the leaf hose fit...
ok update. just opened the box. tested the vacuum hose to the Built Hard wood chipper 7.5 horse engine on it. found out that i had to drill 2 of the existing 3 holes to the suction end of the hose the metal part to the chipper. After that i tried the flat plate that is suppose to go through the intake of the weed and twig stems opening. too small, so I built a plywood topper with 4 2 inch pieces of pine to keep the wood top from ratteling off. worked fine, if i had not done that there would be not enough suction to suck the leaves in the vacuum leaf hose. After all that , the hose , the connection to the chipper and the topper i made all worked wonderfully. I just wish there were manufacturers sell the leaf vacuum to each of their chippers so we don't have to monkey with "re-fitting " every connection to the chippers we all own now. I find the use of this leaf hose, very valuable when cleaning up after season gardens.. it chips the old small vines, and collects them into a big bag that i transfer to the paper yard leaf bags, then take them to the curb. Only problem is, who uses this leaf hose other than the end of the gardening year and leaf pick-up times. So unless you like to play with gas engine powered yard toys.. this is the one for you.. I will look to see if other sites have one specifically for my chipper, i will let you know in an update..im off to check for one right now so watch for an update really soon lol al UPDATE 12/5/2025: no existing fits for my chipper...no where on any sites...none.. so that is why i chose to drill out the 2 existing holes into the new hose metal end to the chipper. Goodluck finding a precise fit for your chippers.

Great accessory for the price
I was impressed by how well this it worked. Great on smaller leaves, but struggles somewhat with larger leaves, especially if they have a long stem ~ tends to clog with these (even if they're dry) if you don't slow down. Either way, the mulch that was produced from this is outstanding. Used with a Harbor Freight Predator chipper/shredder. Materials appear to be rugged and fit for purpose. The 13' hose is nice as it cuts down on moving the machine around. While the handle is comfortable and convenient, an adjustable extension for it would be nice. Would have given 5 stars, but I had to modify the hose collar and blanking plate to fit my machine. Would be nice to have other holes predrilled, or slots, to fit a small range of machines. Either way, it is worth the money if you have a lot of leaves that you want to repurpose or simply cut down on the quantity of leaf bags you'll be taking to the curb.

Wow!
This device is a game changer! I am surprised how well it works for a machine in this price segment! I just chipped a whole bunch of green waste, including palm fronds and similar stuff, and it worked speedily and without a flaw. That is pretty impressive. While palm fronds may not seem tough, they have a tendency to warp around and clog up the chipper. In fact, a chipper I previously used that cost literally more than 10x as much, had major problems with that sort of stuff. The only thing I do not like about this chipper is that it is very difficult to open when it does clog up (and they all clog up every now and then). While more expensive machines may have a quick-latch system, this one you have to basically disassemble and open a bunch of screws (can't recall exactly, but I would say maybe 10?) You turn into a mechanic, rather than just a cleaner. So, whenever it does clog up, you are not in for a good time. But then again, the machine is just over $500, while most similar machines I saw that are any better are more in the $5000-7000 range. For that, I can unscrew a bunch of screws every now and then. Heck, if this bothers you too much, you could buy a half a dozen of these machines and just switch when one clogs, and you will still be way ahead as far as expenses go ;-)

This tool does what I need but not what is advertized
I need a chipper that handles up to two-inch branches and this chipper does just fine. But it cannot handle the three-inch branches as claimed by the manufacturer. I tried a branch about two and a half inches and the engine died. Also, it does not like leaves and grass. It has the hopper for them but it does not efficiently spit out the waste and eventually jams up the exhaust. As others have noted, it does not have a clean-out port at the bottom, so you must work with the one on the side to unclog it. Bring your lunch, it's a tough job with the limited access. Bottom line, it's great for my smaller branches and I am keeping it, but look for something bigger if your work exceeds two inches.

Works perfectly with the Vevor Chipper Shredded Mulcher
This works perfectly with the Vevor wood chipper shredded mulched. The hopper block was made specifically for this machine and slides in perfectly to block the leaf hopper so that the hose has maximum vacuum. Vacuums dry leaves and chops them into very fine pieces. The chipper portion is functional with the vacuum kit attached for branches that might be in among the leaves.

Don’t buy it for Florida
He doesn't need a palm branch, he stops. And that's exactly why I bought him.

Vevior Chipper IMPRESSIVE!
Wasn't sure what to expect....I'm tired of bagging 50 bags of leaves to clean my yard so was in the fence about buying a chipper. Saw this model was $100 off so bought it. Box came damaged and on its side so I figured it would be going back but other than a small bend in the chute flange it was good. Took me about 20 minutes to set up...not difficult. Got some oil and slethanol free gas and fired it up. Started on second pull...it is loud so ear protection is a must. It comes with a nice size bag but the cinch string is very weak. Attempted to attach bag and realized the way it mounts is a very poor design. At first would not stay on but after tugging and adjusting it did. Started it up and moved the throttle to middle speed and started. It takes a bit to figure out how to feed it as it is a little nerve racking and at first I was shoving to much in. You need to feed in small amounts and let the machine feed them in ...once you get the hang of it....it works very good. I still got stuck a few times but I used a thin stick to my be the leaves around and it just sucks everything in. For what I need, I am very happy with this chipper. Four stars because of the discharge chute mounting (I have to get creative here because it is a bit frustrating) but really impressed with the power and ability. Did half the yard which is normally 20 or so bags ...did it in two and a half. I did chip some 1.5 sticks and it sucked them right in no problem. Very impressive. Thanks for reading.

Wow. A real beast. Big step up from the others at this price...
This unit weighs about 50 lbs more than the others in the same price range. There are 2 chipper blades on the flywheel instead of one. The bolts are grade 8 steel or higher, which really surprised me. Overall, it's built like a tank. I had 7 medium to large deciduous and pine trees worth of brush to remove, and I considered renting a larger shredder from Home Depot. In retrospect, I made the right choice by buying this machine. The job took me about 20 hours of work, spread out over three weeks. This machine handled the task very well, and helped me to chip several cubic yards of mulch, greatly enhancing the property. It took me more time than it would have taken to use a large rented shredder, but I have the machine now for smaller future tasks. The engine seems solid and had no issues with startup (easy to pull), throttle control, or performance under load. You have to be careful with branches over 2" in diameter, especially when the wood is harder or wet. You can stall it out if you don't feed slowly or use enough throttle, but overall the machine performs extremely well for the price. I would buy any of Vevor's other products without hesitation after seeing how this 'lil monster performed.
