HELLO. I am writing this review because I have OPINIONS. I was peacefully existing (thinking about food) when my humans put this on my head and told me I was a “lion.” I do not know what a lion is, but I assume it is very important because everyone started yelling “LOOK AT HIM” and taking 400 photos. Pros: Many people laughed. I got snacks. Possibly for being brave. Possibly to keep me still. Cons: Mane flops when I shake. This is alarming. My reflection startled me. The cats had even less respect for me. Fortunately, I’m a Labrador, so looking and acting the fool is part of my genetics and something I carry off extremely well. Honestly, this outfit may have unlocked my true calling: Professional Silly Creature. I attempted to run. The mane ran with me. We are now a team. Final thoughts: Would I wear it again? Yes, for snacks. Would I forgive my humans? Also yes, because I forgot what I was mad about. Signed, Luca the Lab 🐾 Notes: buy this for what it is, ten ish quid for a good giggle. For that alone it’s good value. The quality is good enough for its intended use. A good shake once it’s out of the packet will fluff it up. If your dog is anything like mine, the mane would be destroyed in seconds if left unsupervised. Recommended 👍🏻

I’m not going to include a photo of me in my outfit, but my dog was such a hit in his costume that we won first prize at our Halloween dog meet this year. He tolerates it for an hour so it can’t be too dreadful to wear, and he really looked handsome. My old dog was unimpressed but that’s not the fault of this item. So yes, recommended.

This lion’s mane costume was a roaring success for World Book Day! Lyra, our beloved school dog, transformed into the lion from many treasured tales, and the children were absolutely thrilled to spot her embodying their favourite book characters. It sparked so much excitement and storytelling joy. Design-wise, the ears are adorably plush and photogenic. The mane itself slips off quite easily—perfect when Lyra decided she’d had enough fame for the day. A small drawback: the harness holes only accommodate a standard lead, so if you use anything more specialised, it may not fit snugly. Still, for one magical day, Lyra was the lion-hearted heroine of our literary jungle—and this costume helped make that happen.

Got this to play a prank on my partner, I wanted her to arrive home to a lion on the loose in the house 😂 well exactly that happened and she had a good giggle. The mane itself is good quality for the price and has and adjustable pull string for a good fit. It's soft inside so it doesn't scratch or rub. Most importantly, my dog didn't mind wearing it for short periods, if he had hated it, we of course wouldn't subject him to it just for fun but he was happy to wear it long enough for people to see it, giggle and get a few photos.

Don’t buy! Very poor quality!!!!!! The quality is far from the pictures depicted. They steal photos from other products. Avoid it.

This arrived and I instantly loved it, but it did need a bit of a brush, a spray with warm water and a TINY drop of laundry softener, give it a little gentle brush and it it'll fluff up much better. This was brilliant, my dog was quite comfortable but he got a bit warm after a short time so we did take it off immediately after the fancy dress class!

Auch wenn unser Kauf dieses Kostüms nur als Witz gemeint war, es ist wirklich totaler Quatsch! Die Perücke geht dem Hund über die Ohren, deshalb lässt er das Kostüm nur ein paar Sekunden an. Klar, auf seine Ohren kann ein Hund am allerwenigsten verzichten!
