I've been using D&H gauze rolls combined with various brands of Xenoform 5×9 pads to alleviate and help treat open wounds caused by my debilitating CVI (chronic venous insufficiency) condition. These little rolls are fantastic and comfortable on my now extremely sensitive skin and do a great job at providing not only a very base level of protection against potential cuts and lacerations from environmental objects, but also for helping to create an adequate amount of pressure on my legs when I wrap them a certain way (from the ball of my foot up to the distal-most point of my kneecap) that works extremely well in conjunction with compression footwear. The rolls especially help in keeping the hem of my compression socks from digging into my skin, which usually happens with CVI no matter what kind of sock you wear (when it digs into your skin, it opens you up to the high possibility of more open sores). D&H has been good to me and I appreciate the fact that these gauze.rolls are so affordable too compared to the prices I've had to pay at places like CVS and Walgreens for equivalent wraps. The gauze also has a low level of adhesiveness so it's able to stick to itself if wrapped correctly with the right amount of slack/tension, although I usually tuck the loose end of the gauze underneath the uppermost layer of the wrap at the top of my leg(if you leave the gauze adhering to itself, it will almost certainly unstick it self and potentially.unspool due to the friction/rubbing of fabric from your pants/home couch/work chair/car seats;tucking the fabric is a set-and-forget solution that locks the bandage in place 99% of the time for me so I never have to worry about it unraveling as I go about my business) 5/5, extremely comfortable, very affordable, and I've never had any kind of negative reaction when wearing them.

As with several others who have commented, I have developed venous stasis ulcers. I have no idea what the long term treatment will be or if it will even succeed. I tired of going to a pharmacy every few days and paying premium prices for a small amount of supplies. Since I will likely be doing a lot wrapping and changing dressings often for at least the near future, I decided it was time to buy in bulk. Although the rolls are individually wrapped (the nod to sterility is a big plus) the price beats pharmacy pricing by a mile. Even if pharmacy prices were competitive, I can't imagine slogging to my car with a big box of rolled bandages along with the other items I might need. Much less expensive; high quality and delivered right to my door works for me. I wear compression devices but the material does stretch and does provide some compression without completely falling apart. Thank goodness for DandH. Otherwise I would be obliged to overpay significantly for these dressings that have, unfortunately, become a necessity.

These are a good value for regular needs. They aren't all that absorbent themselves - but they are very useful for binding wound specific dressings and any sort of absorbent pads that might be required. They are consistent in size and quality and each one is packaged individually. They are very thin but work great for wrapping in layers, such as around an ankle or knee. The threads aren't coated so they aren't slippery and they stay in place fairly well statically while you locate and cut tape to secure it. I also will pull a bit of tube bandaging over the top to make sure it stays in place. I've reordered a couple of times and they have been consistent in quality each time. These make a smart addition to any emergency kit.

I bought this product thinking I was purchasing ABSORBENT gauze rolls. When I opened the package I was dissapointed to find out that this product is an OUTER gauze wrap, not an inner one. On the other hand, for an outer gauze wrap, this product appears to be very high quality. (It's a bit hard for me to tell how well it sticks to itself due to how the bandages, for the specific wound I need to wrap, have to be applied for maximum support during healing.) This gauze wrap is self adhesive but has low absorbancy, due to the low amount of cotton in the product. The feel of the gauze is FAR superior to vet wrap. I will happily use all the rolls I received for future wounds I need to bandage. In addition, I will be happy to purchase more of these stretch gauze OUTER wrap rolls.

While these bandages are very thin we found that they were a great accompaniment to the heavier gauze bandages that my husband was required to wear after a severe leg wound. The doctor wanted him to have 2 of the gauze bandages on his leg and changed every day, which made it quite expensive. We got the same results using these on top of the gauze bandages and saved us quite a bit. They will be nice to have the remaining ones on hand for anything that might come up in the future. Very doable price too.
