Honestly, I haven't used these poles yet, but they hit me as 5 stars so far! I bought another brand to compare and while both would be satisfactory, the USA Brand have MUCH nicer/more comfortable straps, which made the difference for me. The other brand's pouch did have a carrying strap, but didn't factor into my decision.. These poles assemble easily (the videos are helpful for the first-time.), take apart just as easily, and adjust easily. They seem very sturdy. I look forward to putting them to the test!

I haven't used many trekking poles so I'm new to this cause I used to hate to carry poles. So far I've taken these on a couple dry ground hikes, but mostly ground covered in snow. I take them up pretty steep mountain hikes and rocky terrain and put a lot of pressure on them going up and down hills. I was skeptical about them being able to take that much stress. I thought they would eventually start coming loose, the shaft sliding and becoming shorter, the snap to pop out and the pole to collapse while hiking, the locks to come loose or break, the feet to get damaged quickly because of the rocky and ice terrain. None of that yet and I hope they continue to be strong cause I Plan to go on some very long hikes (100+ miles). I got these specific poles because of the weight, the collapsible size and the price. I do both hiking and trail running so I needed something that would collapse fairly small and lightweight so I could stuff them in my smaller trailrunning packs. I also need to pack lightweight for my longer backcountry hikes coming up and these seem to be nice and light and I feel comfortable carrying these because of size and weight. The cork grips are nice and comfortable and the straps don't slip and I've pulled on them to test it. I've only used the poles without any of the foot attachments so I can't review the durability of those. I think they look good as well, which doesn't really matter as far as functionality, but I figured I would mention that. Hopefully they continue to hold up cause in my near future hikes I am planning to use a trekking pole tent.

I bought these poles to throw in the back of my car. They work great, and the height is appropriate for me as a short woman. They fold up nicely and seem sturdy. The poles are a bit heavier than the high-end poles I originally bought, and the carrying bag isn't as nice as those more expensive poles. But if weight and a good carrying bag aren't all that important, then these are a good deal. They work just fine for day hikes, and it's nice to not have to worry about whether I remembered my poles if I take a last minute outing.

Three weeks ago, while hiking down a steep slope in the Sierras, I tripped on a root and plunged forward down the slope, head first into the huge boulders. I was using my dad's old, telescoping hiking stick, and when I tried to stop my fall, it telescoped and I fell. Ended up with a concussion, badly bruised shoulder, elbow, knees and a bone bruise on my hip. I was lucky to be alive after striking my head full force on the boulder. After I got home from the trip, I searched for a hiking pole that I could lean on with all my weight when needed, without it telescoping. That's when I found these Z-style hiking poles. They are perfect and can support weight without telescoping, and are lightweight, easy to set up or break down for storage. They are also beautiful. I am still limping and recovering from the fall, but went to a local museum and also a local hiking trail, this week, and the poles supported me on both steep trail and on steep stairways at the museum. I highly recommend these hiking poles to anyone. They are also beautiful and have a clean look, without the big plastic joints that telescoping poles come with, and the longer handle is great for not only walking, but getting up from sitting on the ground. I am a fisherman and photographer so I go into the wild regularly and these poles will never leave my side.

This is a great walking stick. It’s lightweight but sturdy. It is very easy to assemble and I really like that its height/length is adjustable. Got it in grrrn and I love it.

I love these hiking poles! They are super compact - they easily fit in a carry on suitcase and easily attach to my backpack without hanging down too much. I like them better than the telescoping poles that I have for that reason. QR code for the instructions are on the poles, which was great because I forgot the nuances for getting them set up and could easily watch the video on my phone for a reminder. The hand grips are very comfortable. The poles come with all of the different tips and a nice carry bag. All in all, I love these and am happy to support this family-owned business!
