I recently grabbed this Dried Kataifi Shredded Phyllo Dough 5oz specifically because I wanted to try making those viral Dubai chocolate bars. This stuff is exactly what you need. It arrived super fresh and the quality of the phyllo strands is excellent, making my recipe prep straightforward. The texture is what really matters here. This dough stays beautifully crunchy after being lightly toasted, giving that essential, satisfying shatter when you bite into the finished product. I’ve used less fresh kataifi before, and it just doesn’t have the same crispness. This quantity is perfect, whether you’re making knafeh or trying out new dessert trends.

Hello Friends, I selected this shredded Chopped Phyllo Dough for desserts. The shreds were pale and fresh smelling. I took the whole batch and tossed it in melted salted butter then toasted it in the oven until golden and flaky. Then I crushed it up a bit and split it into thirds. To one third I added honey until it was just coated. Then I flattened it gently into a deep 9x9 pan and added a single layer of chopped walnuts. Then with the second third of shreds I added pistachio butter until just coated and flattened it gently onto the previous layer adding a single layer of chopped pistachios. To the final third of shreds I added date syrup until just coated and flattened it gently onto the previous layer adding a single layer of toasted sweetened coconut. I set it in the fridge until firm and then pulled it out cutting it into bars. They were loaded with flavor and crunch. Delicious.

There are quite a lot of recipes to be found online on how to use shredded phyllo if you're not used to it. I chose to make kataifi nests filled with vanilla custard and topped with fruit puree as a quick and easily stunning-looking dessert. Very easy to put up in a muffin cup baking pan. Whole family loved it.

It's packaged different then I guess you'd find normaly. Last one i got (different brand) was packaged and sealed like it was from the grocery store. This is in a silver back/clear front bag, zip lock type, sealed with heat at the top, with a sticker in the package. Like a printed out sticker on photo paper from a home printer.(im a crafter)The zip part wasnt even completely sealed because the kataifi was in the way. NOW dont get me wrong I tried it anyways even know I was skeptical and there was no different taste from this compared to the last brand I bought. So im not complaining im just making aware that this seems "home/bulk" packaged in stead of "facility/factory" packaged. This was a little cheaper then other brands iv seen.
