Very good quality! I like how well it's held up so far. It's very good. The pages are thick enough to where writing with sharpie doesn't leak onto a separate page. Although it will slightly bleed through to the other side of the same page, but it's not too extreme if you don't press down super hard, which you shouldn't. It's still a really good notebook, and I appreciate the bookmark string.

Love this journal . I was trying to find a black suede like cover in a solid black and this is exactly what I was looking for . Yes it is faux leather but it is beautiful for the price point and I prefer over the real leather ones . I bought mainly for the cover to use with my own A5 notebooks . However the book that comes with it is of good quality thick paper . (Key in photo does not come with journal . I added it myself )
