Great taste and burn!

I've been using the Tutto Calabria hot crushed chili flakes and their chunky Calabrian chili sauce for quite a while. When I saw their smooth Calabrian chili sauce with garlic, I had to give it a try. The smooth sauce definitely packs more heat! The chunky sauce has a more subtle heat that creeps up on you. This smooth sauce grabs your attention right away. The garlic helps to to tone down some of that heat. I especially like cayenne peppers, and this hot sauce delivers that familiar heat.

I use this in a recipe to make my own shrimp cocktail sauce, has no preservatives,additives,,,Here are the contents:Chili peppers, water,fresh and dried garlic, vinegar,olive oil and salt...That's it....and that's why I gave it 5 stars

Love this chili sauce from Italy. I wish I could find it out here, but Amazon was the only one that had it.

When I think Calabrian peppers, I usually imagine something packed in oil... I'd never had a Calabrian hot sauce before, so I had to give it a try! While they list this sauce as the hottest level on their scale, the spice is actually pretty mild... it's mainly just a sweet, garlic-ie sauce with a bit of rising heat at the back of your tongue. The texture could be a bit better, it's somewhat grainy, but it has a great flavor.

I just got around to trying this - I've never had Calabrian chili sauce before - and I really like it. I like spicy foods/hot sauce, so this was a really pleasant surprise. It has a bright flavor, with a solid medium heat that is good and lasting. The immediate flavors are a nice tomato and garlic - the garlic is definitely there, but not overdone. Honestly, the flavor is full enough that it can be used as it's own sauce (whereas I usually add hot sauce in addition to other condiments). Overall worth it. If you like spicy foods, I would definitely recommend trying this - it stands out from all my other hot sauces.
