Did the job , behind that black thing is a glass, since the house was old they have those old school style rooms , so basically people can tell from outside if Im home etcs , so I bought it to cover the glass not to mention it lessens the noise too

One inch isn't the thickest and there aren't many applications for stuff this thin, but for MY project it was perfect. It arrives in a vacuum pack, so give it time to expand on its own when you open it before putting to use. Clean and durable. Responds to Xacto knife cutting very well.
