This thing is crazy loaded with features, I can hardly believe it's at this price point. Absolutely blows my old, malfunctioning DS88 out of the water. Not only do you get a 31 band parametric equalizer on all 8 channels individually, but it also lets you choose exactly where the center frequency is on each of those bands. Each channel has a low and high crossover point, up to -48db/oct, at -6db intervals, and you choose between Linkwitz-Riley, Butterworth, or Bessel on each end. That's up to an 8th order crossover x2 on 8 channels. In complete contrast, it also offers the normie "bass/mids/treble" adjustments in various places, including the software and as knobs on the unit itself. I recommend just setting the switch to PC and never looking back. (Why would you buy this just to ignore the most important features?)The software is pretty good also. You specify which speaker is serving what frequencies, which at first was an odd design choice, until you realize it works into other things. You can "link" channels, so you can easily copy crossover settings. For instance, set up one speaker as "Front Left, Tweeter" and another as "Front Left Midrange", and they automatically know to link if you push the button. You can also toggle a noise gate 'level', though there is no documentation on what this does technically, and I couldn't discern a difference. Noise floor in general is very low/inaudible.Strangely, it came pre-programmed with time alignment delays and EQ and x-overs already set for some reason. Idk if I got a returned board or what. And it was actually not very easy to reset - took about 10 mins to get everything flat. The wiring is also a bit strange and you have to use both harnesses, even if you're just using power and RCA, so you always run the risk of shorting the high level ins or outs (very cool feature to have btw - you basically don't need an amp or head unit at all with this, since it takes bluetooth or USB). This could easily be fixed with a little thought on the design side - separate connectors based on use. On that subject, an important note is that a fuse is not included, so make sure you have a few spares of different sizes ready. I only used a 7.5amp due to not using the high level outs and it hasn't blown yet.Another slight gotcha is that if you get the model without the remote (and save $25), you MUST connect to PC to change the input type. The Android app does not have this option for some reason. The remote has secondary volume control and allows you to select different profiles (up to 6)(you might want one for single driving, passengers, high bass, etc, but I really only need 1 or 2) - other than the initial setup, the remote is probably going to be disconnected for me.Biggest complaint right now is it makes a loud popping on all channels when it turns on or turns off. I'm hoping this is because I have my head unit REM wire serving its ACC port as with my amps. It also has a REM out, so potentially the correct way of wiring is to isolate the amp REM to the DSP out only.

Great for fine tuning
I have done many DSP installs, mostly standalone DSP units with separate amps and have found that this unit is a rebranded unit from China that you can find under several brands here on Amazon. They all have the same layout and use the same contols and app. This unit has the same interface and versatility as the much more expensive setups AND has a very good sounding multichannel amp integrated although lower power. If you have efficient drivers this with a sub amp will suit the audiophlie in you.
