High quality but one problem
The product is really good the sound quality is around 500-700 pound worth of headphones that is like bang olufsen etc. The haptics are cool its artificial but cool. Sound 10/10 Quality 10/10 Cool factor and chroma lights 10/10 Because its a complicated software there are problems sometimes the headphone wont work and i unplug and plug it again. It works great with the iphone but only cable connection. I think this is one of the best gaming headphones that you can buy. Hopefully they will remove the bugs. And one more fault is when you listen or play games on full sound the mic detect the sound so you must make a precise input hz setting on the applications.

Abysmal experience - do yourself a favour and look elsewhere
To preface, this, the Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Wireless Gaming-Headset with OLED Control Hub and costs £349.99. Unboxed it, looked good. Nice build quality to the headset, the cups a lot smaller than earlier haptic headsets like the Nari (which is what I already have). The OLED control panel looks really great! Simple controls but to have instant access to all the settings without having to drop to the OS and the Razer app was a big draw. Hooked up the control panel, turned on the headphones, connected! Easy. I had audio. Then my Razer app required an update. No problem. Let it go through it all. About 10 mins later (very slow), PC restarted and...could no longer see the headphones in windows sound devices. Turned the headphones off and on, no difference. Replugged the control panel, it worked! Then it disappeared again. Replugging several times eventually got it to stay on long enough for the Razer app to see there were new devices, the control panel and the headset. Firmware update required, a good few minor version updates over the one already installed, so pretty significiant. Great! Downloaded the firmware, ran it, followed the prompts. The control panel updated fine. The headphones update stopped about 2/3 through. The firmware update installer had just disappeared. OK, ran it again, went back through to the headset, this time it completed. Restarted the PC. Devices no longer found in the sound settings. Opened up the Razer app, headset showing as disconnected. Replugged the control panel, it showed. Then dropped. Replugged the control panel, it showed and stayed showed. Opened up the Devices section to check the headset settings. The Razer app just hung, nothing happening. About 30 seconds later the settings page opened and...the device disappeared from the sound devices. Restarted the PC and managed to get the devices to stay connected after furious amounts of replugging at the PC and the control panel end. Firmware update required, says the Razer app. Download the firmware (again), rerun it...devices up to date, no firmware update needed. Devices then disappeared from the sound devices again. What opportunity I did have to listen to the audio and the haptics was just via the Razer app and the THX demo in-between all of the above and I noticed a distinct drop in volume level over the Nari and the haptics were weak and bottle'y (rather than the haptic being full range, it was obviously just in one area of the cups and could clearly be heard to be thumping in one specific direction). Packed up, return started. This is £349.99. It's not some (supposed) third rate wireless headset brand for £50. This is a premium product and it should work end to end, flawlessly. This is not that and I heavily suspect the majority of that price tag is relating to the OLED control panel, which in theory is a great idea but not when it and the software running it is a broken, unusable mess. Avoid.

Let's get ready to rumble!
The standout selling point of the headset are the haptics, which Razer labels as 'Sensa HD'. The technology is no joke. There are two settings for PC players, which includes Sensa HD Haptics and audio-to-haptics. The former being a developer curated experience, with Silent Hill 2, Final Fantasy XVI and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 amongst those games supported. The audio-to-haptics being a real-time conversion which more than impresses. The OLED control hub which comes with the headset allows limited customisation. Aside from adjusting side-tone level, everything else can be adjusted on the headset. You can switch on-the-fly between 2.4Ghz wireless, Bluetooth and simultaneous with a voice prompt from a female voice. In terms of haptics, you have several choices: low, medium, high or off. Low or medium are more suitable. You have further customisation in the delivery between controlled, balanced, dynamic and custom. Controlled focuses upon bass, balanced speaks for itself, and dynamic can get crazy immersive. I find the latter can get a bit fatiguing in games, but a lot of fun when listening to music. I tend to opt for balanced in most scenarios, along with low setting. In Bluetooth mode, I put the haptics through its paces listening to various content and music. Haptics set to low, dynamic, I watched the opening scene to Top Gun: Maverick. Words can't truly describe the experience. It was like I was back at the cinema. The haptics are so tactile and precise. The haptics behave themselves to compliment the music. I was somewhat sceptical of the haptic feedback, expecting a buzzing on my ears. It is far more nuanced than that. On high setting, it's definitely too much. In games, the haptics really shine. Suddenly the laser blasts in Star Wars Outlaws have far more impact. The environmental detail and thudding of robot dinosaurs in Horizon Forbidden West brings the game to life. It truly is an immersive experience like no other. Comfort & build Weighing in at 397g, they're nowhere near as heavy as the Audeze Maxwell, or as lightweight as the Razer Kraken V4 at 350g. It's a stocky, good-looking headset, with metal forks and premium materials adding to the weight. The headband has thick padding and the ear cushions are plush, protein leather. The ear cushions are removable, so the fabric ear cushions from the regular V4 will fit. The ear cushions don't get as sweaty as other leatherette ear pads I've used. The headband can become uncomfortable over extended use. Not the most comfortable headset. The OLED control hub has a good build, but doesn't have as many customisation options. You can't create your own custom EQ via the control hub. The 9 zone RGB lighting on each earcup looks attractive, if that's your thing. I couldn't find an option to disable (to save battery) on either the headset or control hub, so I contacted Razer. On PS5 you are stuck with the RGB lighting, unless you have access to a PC and Razer Synapse 4. A strange oversight. The battery life is advertised at 50 hours (without RGB and haptics) but only 12-15 hours when enabled. The intensity of those settings will also impact performance. So low, controlled haptics will extend battery life. Audio performance There are 4 EQ options available on the headset (including a button to switch between). Game, movie, music and custom. The latter being only applicable if you have access to Razer Synapse 4. The game EQ essentially removes the bass, movie elevates the bass, but removes the mids. Music adheres to the Harman curve much more, and is easily the best preset. The headset is a warm sounding headset with plenty of detail. The bass really packs a punch, irrespective of the haptics. It doesn't have the soundstage of the Nova Pro Wireless, which can sound like you're inside a cave. The bio-cellulose drivers do a great job with clarity and directional audio. Some headsets can feel like the audio is inside your head. You don't get any of that. There's texture detail in the bass and the highs are well presented. PS5 is renowned for headsets being not loud enough. The Kraken V4 Pro are more than loud enough on PS5. Summary There are various competing technologies and a lot to consider when purchasing a gaming headset. The price being a major factor. The retractable mic quality of the V4 Pro is average, though I've had no complaints when communicating. Overall, I am mostly happy with my purchase, albeit I paid more than I would have liked. At £300, this headset would be a no-brainer. The premium quality, detailed audio and added immersion from the haptics. Although the headset works great on PS5, there are added features should you play on PC. I didn't feel like I was missing out too much. But it will be a factor for some gamers. The comfort of the headband may be an issue for some. The clamping force is slightly stronger than I prefer.

100% recommended
I was skeptical about buying due to the price. But I can honestly say it was worth the purchase. The quality is great. The full haptic feedback in the headset is unreal. I have always struggled hearing certain noises in games but not with this headset. The performance and battery life is great. It's simple and easy to use and connect with Bluetooth. I would recommend 100%

Works Perfectly with my PS5 straight out the box!
I bought this headset to use with my PS5! I’m an iMac owner so that meant I didn’t have access to the Razer Firmware Updater as it’s Windows only I had a look on Razer’s website to see what the recent firmware update fixed , I was happy to see that it was only minor bug fixes so I went ahead purchased the unit. I’m happy to report that the headset and DAC work perfectly with my PS5 straight out the box no need for a PC! If you hold down the big button it gives you access to everything you need without having to use a PC the hepatic vibration also works on the PlayStation 5. I also read on Reddit that the software that Razer released with their headphone's is awful, it causes more bugs and crashes to the unit and it’s highly recommended not to use the software at all and just use straight out the box! Also the mic quality is great. Hope this review helps someone in deciding whether to purchase, im happy to report that I don’t have any buyers remorse and that everything works just fine with my PS5 including the haptic vibration and mic

Good headset, questionable extra features
Razer Kraken V4 Pro. Arriving well presented & protected, ready to go right out of the box, simply plug & play. Supplied with all the cables you'll need to connect to anything, USB-A & C, a 3.5mm jack & the OLED control hub. Build quality feels typically Razer, robust & solid. On the head they are comfortable to wear, not too heavy (about 350g) & have more than enough adjustability to get a good fit, though the leatherette ear cups I find are not very breathable & do get warm. Has all controls you need onboard the headset, easy to reach & adjust once you remember where everything is. The onboard mic is clear enough & nicely folds away within the headset, which is a nice touch. Audio quality is excellent, as you'd expect, clear & crisp with good bass THX spatial audio 7.1 surround sound brilliant with gaming or music. The Razer companion app also provides so much customisability to tune every aspect of the audio possible, could spend a day fine-tuning every tiny aspect of your audio profile. Now the bad for me personally, RGB, while impressive & with so much control with the Razer synapse app to have them doing anything you could possibly want, they are on the side of your head where you'll never see it & they are just an extra drain on the battery. I'm in the same boat with the haptic feedback, I've not managed to find a use case where it has not been anything but an irritation or a distraction. Meant to make you "feel" audio, I just feel it's out of sync with what is going on, like my heat set does a rumble a few seconds after a low-end sound happens. Maybe it's my setting, or I'm just missing something. The OLED control hub is a desktop tool that had control settings for adjusting your settings on the fly. Having a screen, one button to cycle through some options & a large tactile knob for adjusting the setting. Now again for me this is a miss, there's not a setting I'd need to change that urgently that I can't just do with the controls already onboard the headset. It has just become an extra thing to take up workspace. For me, it's an excellent headset as far as audio goes, fantastic sound, fast & easy to connect, super adjustable both physically & via software, good battery life (50 hours with all the extras off). But at its price point, I'd much rather save the money & get a lower end model that doesn't come with all the bloat features that eat into the battery life.
