I installed it myself when my old battery started acting up. I run diagnostics on the old battery and had lost 28% of the charge capacity after only 370 cycles. It was easy to install following you tube instructions ( I am not an expert). I run diagnostics again after charging and showed dull design capacity, just barely below the 68Wh. I vcan't speak of durability but this is a very affordable o[ption to extend the life of your laptop. Recommended

This battery is functional, but just not nearly as nice as the original. The first clue is that it doesn't fit the battery opening, you have to force the plastic tabs into place or tighten the screws without the tabs fully seated. And the wires were just a tad short from reaching the connector, had to stretch it a bit. When charging for the first time, the peak charge is about 85% of a factory battery. Time will tell how long it lasts, this is my 2nd replacement and the last generic battery lasted a little over a year. Unlike some laptops, this samsung tablet style laptop does not power up without a working battery, so you can't just use while plugged in. But the price is very good, and I will just keep replacing it yearly until the laptop eventually gets replaced.I was unable to locate a genuine samsung battery anywhere online. I am told that samsung only allows you to send it in for their service and does not sell their parts.

This works well and has a good value for money. I’ve had it for months not years so I’m not sure if it lasts a long time. Easy to install myself and everything, but it didn’t fit quite right in my computer. The connection was long enough, but the body didn’t fit where the old battery did so it’s just sitting in there not screwed in. Other than that I’d recommend it as a good value for the money.

I got this battery when my laptop was dying. I was thrilled to find out I could replace the broken one with something that didn't cost an arm and a leg!Got it replaced by a professional this week, and so far it's working like a dream! (Will update as I continue to use)However, he mentioned that with aftermarket batteries like this one, there's occasional extra plastic tabs that he had to snip off, so the replacement took a little longer than usual. I watched him do it and it was the right battery... it's just one we had to adjust sizewise a bit.The life on it seems comparable to the one it was replacing (before it started acting up, anyway), but as I said above, I will update as I use. For now, know that it's working well!UPDATED: The earlier review I posted on the 19th of April, I believe (It was certainly in April, after the 12th but before the 23rd). This review I am writing the 8th of June.This battery started with 7.5-8 hours battery life, not quite comparable to the 10-ish I got with the original battery but not too bad. However, it's started to slip. I've been getting five hours the past couple weeks, and today I got only 3.I have been taking precautions with this battery. I've been careful to keep it charged only to the 80% battery point, and not to let it drop below 20% very much.It's hot today and it was 3 continuous hours, so it might be that, but I'm starting to think this battery's not the longest-lasting. I'm a little nervous, and maybe you want to think carefully before buying. This WILL help extend your life, but have a backup plan in place.
