Spin, Power, and Control EVO by Selkirk
I recently upgraded to the 2025 Selkirk Evo Pickleball Paddle, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with this exceptional paddle. This review will cover various aspects, including design, performance, and overall value. The Selkirk Evo Paddle features a sleek and modern design that immediately caught my eye. The paddle has a fiberglass surface for control and a carbon fiber core for power, creating a perfect blend for players who want versatility on the court. The SpinFlex surface is particularly noteworthy, allowing for excellent spin potential on serves and groundstrokes. The paddle feels solid in hand, with a comfortable grip that minimizes slippage during play. The lightweight design offers great maneuverability, making it easier to react quickly during fast-paced games. The paddle’s width and shape provide a generous sweet spot, which is a plus for players of all skill levels. In terms of performance, the 2025 Selkirk Evo truly shines. The combination of the Evo Control Fiberglass surface and the Evo Power Carbon Fiber core results in a paddle that excels in both touch and power. I found that it offered excellent control for dinks and volleys, allowing for precise placement of the ball during rallies. The SpinFlex surface truly enhances spin potential, enabling me to execute topspin and slice shots with ease. This feature became particularly advantageous during competitive matches, where placement and spin can make all the difference. One of the standout features of the Evo Paddle is its ability to balance power and control seamlessly. While many paddles tend to lean more towards one or the other, the Selkirk Evo manages to maintain a harmonious blend. When I needed power for aggressive serves or smashes, it delivered without compromising control on softer shots.Durability is a significant consideration for any paddle, and the Selkirk Evo does not disappoint. After several weeks of regular use, I’ve noticed no signs of wear or damage. The materials used in its construction are high-quality, promising longevity even with intensive play.Priced competitively within the premium paddle market, the Selkirk Evo offers excellent value for players seeking a high-performance paddle without breaking the bank. Given its performance, build quality, and durability, I believe this paddle is a solid investment for both recreational and serious players.Overall, this 2025 Selkirk Evo Pickleball Paddle has exceeded my expectations. With its perfect blend of power, control, and spin, it has quickly become my go-to paddle for both casual games and competitive play. If you're looking for a versatile paddle that performs well in various scenarios, I highly recommend giving the Selkirk Evo a try. It’s a fantastic choice for players at any skill level looking to elevate their game!

Longer Handle for more reach but needs to be gripped better
I'm reviewing the Evo Power XL 13mm in Magenta. For the $100 and under price point this paddle is great. The T700 Carbon Fiber surface has good texture and provides good spin and power behind each shot. I noticed the Edgeguard is also textured as well. The weight of the paddle is similar to many others so I find it a neutral point. The only reason I deducted a star is because of how the grip is wrapped. Instead of wrapping all the way to the bottom, a small section has hard plastic exposed. I find this uncomfortable, but others may not notice it as much. If you wrap the paddle with an over grip and go over that area it should help some.

Well done pickleball paddle.
I received this paddle to try and review. Well done.Likes:? First off, love the overall aesthetic design. The racket itself is really nice to play with.Balance is the word I think of during play. This feels nice in the hands. The handle is really good. Ad top the paddle it self it has a good fell with control. I really notice that unlike my not quite as nice paddle, the sweet spot is tiny and I control the placement of the ball so much better. Really I thought this wasn't;t possible, but realize it really does work. Placement better. Control much better. Good feel and lightweight. Sweet spot does not generate the ball simply flying off.Dislikes?: None really. I do think a paddle at this price point should come with a cover. This is a bit surprising.Overall: This is not the cheapest option out there. A player looking to upgrade can do worse. An excellent option.

Excellent paddles, one maximized your power shots, the other makes you a sniper!
I've been playing for a while now, and I've tried a number of paddles. I can honestly feel the difference, one maximized my power, the other refined my ball placement. For power, I haven't dial it in yet, but my shots make it down court in no time, and they sound solid. I think this paddle would help somebody who needs that extra kick, but if you have great control, this paddle may be just the thing to make you invincible!!!The control XL does exactly that, gives you more precision with more points, and less misses. At this stage I prefer control, I think that it's better for my game.Of course these SLK products are super high quality, can't go wrong with either one!

Good brand
Selkirk is a good brand in the pickleball world and this paddle feels nice in the hand and can deliver powerful shots. I was looking for a longer handle so this is perfect for me. Great colors too. I'm a beginner so I can't say much about comparing to other paddles.

Heavy and unwieldy
Not a fan of this paddle. I got the Power XL version and the paddle feels clunky and unbalanced. The handle was also more rectangular/square and it bothers me a bit as you can field the hard edges. I put some extra grip tape and it seems to help.

Good Paddle
Good paddle. I'm not the most educated when it comes to pickleball paddles but this one was significantly better than my original $30 paddle.

So far it's great
So far I'm liking this paddle. I wanted to try an elongated paddle with an extended handle to see what it would do for my game. I like the extended reach. I had to adjust my swing as I was now closer to the court surface with some shots. The grip is nice. It's long enough for 2 handed swings. The sweet spot is decent and well positioned. The texture is gritty enough that I can get some spin and actually improved my spin. I also get some good power shots. I'm happy with the performance and it is a good value for what you get.
