Good quality for what I needed it for

I have two of these batteries on my pontoon boat. They are five years old and have never failed…over 800 hours on the engine. Even though the batteries still work, I’ll be purchasing two new ones.

I have a 28 foot boat and a 36 foot diesel pusher motor home that just happen to need new start batteries at the same time. I have used Interstate batteries in the past and have been extremely happy with their performance so I jumped at the chance to try this one. The battery is an exact fit for the OEM size and requirements for my boat. The battery was shipped in a much larger box and cocooned in a thick heavy duty padding. It is heavy and I'm sure the delivery driver was thrilled with the weight. The battery arrived fully charged and ready to install. I initially installed it in my boat for use in prepping the boat for winter storage and then installed it into my motor home for use until next spring. I have used it for approximately six week under heavy load conditions and have monitored the charge / discharge / charge and it has performed perfectly as designed. The battery is powerful enough to start the large V8 engine in the boat as well as the Cummins diesel engine in the motor home on cold days. I checked the price at various suppliers and could not find a lower price. I have an Interstate battery in a Mazda RX7 convertible that is now 10 1/2 years old and is working perfectly. The original warranty on that battery was for three years. I have always been happy with Interstate and I believe this battery will give me great performance for many years.

I use a marine battery as a jump pack. After many years, the old one finally died. I was kind of hoping the AGM might be a little lighter than the standard battery, but it's not. It does however have a very nice handle for lugging it around. It came fully charges and I used it for a whole weekend cranking over an old Ford small block trying to get it running after sitting for years and this battery never dropped bellow 12.5 volts. My only complaint is that the little package that was supposed to contain the nut and washer for the negative terminal was empty. Good Battery
