My cat's favorite toy!
This toy is awesome for my very hyperactive cat when I'm not home or I'm too tired or busy to play. He loves it! It's fun with the bag too, but he got bored with that after a while so we took the ball out and just let it roll around the house. It works very well on both carpet and hardwood floors which is a huge plus. A lot of other toys we've tried that are supposed to roll around don't really work on carpet, but this one does!Definitely durable, we've had this for quite a long time now and it still works perfectly, and more importantly he still loves to play with it 🙂 you do have to clear out cat fur from it every once in a while (if you're not using the bag) but that's about it.

Unexpectedly great, even for my scaredy cat
I generally expect most cat toys to underwhelm. For some reason, cat toys are oft really unsafe- with feathers and tiny pieces breaking off that may choke or wires that can seriously injure. My cat chews on EVERYTHING and maybe because she was feral not long ago, but also tries to eat EVERYTHING. I can’t let her near cardboard because she won’t just chew, she’ll swallow. Even when I find a safe toy that I don’t have to alter for safety, it’s oft either completely ignored, scares her, or breaks quickly. So I didn’t expect much but needed to try SOMETHING because she’s still young and wants to play most of day but I can’t be waving a wand or string all day, nor can I CONSTANTLY toss her fave toys in the world: pony tail holders & ping pong balls. So I gave this a shot but expected it to work poorly at best, scare her at worst, (even a vibrating toy mouse or floppy fish give her a fright.)Was sure I’d be returning, but lo! I set on floor, put the ball in, and she played for an hour! Such a relief! I now have time to relax. I haven’t used it a lot so can’t speak to longevity, but things I like are that it came charged so I only had to turn it on and also seems to hold a charge well. Again, haven’t used it a lot but it didn’t shut down after 15-20 mins which I expect most automated things to do, and was still working hours later after I set on interactive mode. Will say it’s not quiet—a quiet mode would make it perfect, but it keeps her interested so can’t complain. And the occasional “chirp” it makes seems to pique her interest more, so that part is good. The whirring’s a bit annoying but no deal breaker. If useful, I’d suggest one with no lights or noise at all if possible. The movement under cover thing in itself is, as most cat parents know, pretty hard to resist for cats, (mine attacks my feet under blanket if I move them at all). And though my timid cat wasn’t scared of the noise/light, a more timid cat may be so it’d be worth it to have one without that stuff, as I think it’d be tempting enough for most cats just to see something moving under cover. That said, my cat gets very nervous abt most toys and she LOVES this so far and it gives me time to myself without guilt. Soif you’re if need of a similar trick, I’d give this a try!Update: Have had this for months. I often set on interactive mode in morn and it is still running that night and often the next day. She still likes it a lot and interactive mode means it doesn’t whir unless she plays with it. Has held up so far.:)

I was fooled by the size…
Yea, the photos are complete BS. This arrived in a tiny little box and when I opened it, all I saw was the little toy. I thought.. “dang, did it not come with the bag?”. But no, it did… to my surprise, the bag was neatly folded and stuffed at the bottom of the box. It’s a very thin material and takes up little space, but it does seem durable.I just felt like the whole bag was bigger, but really, it’s the perfect size. One of the problems with the bag though, is that the hole to put the toy inside is always a pain for me to find! I’ll do 2-3 revolutions each time to remove or replace the toy.My cat seems to have forgotten how to play, so most of the toys we buy her usually end up in a giant toy basket, as she generally prefers the packaging more than anything. The moment I opened the bag and laid it on the ground, my little girl immediately jumped on it and started playing, just from the feel and crinkling noise of the bag alone! The amazing thing about this toy is that it has sounds as well as different programs to make it change how long before it pauses after the last interaction. My cat seems to appreciate the non-predictable stimulation. On the first program, the toy will keep moving until my cat gets bored, then it goes to sleep and wait for interaction again… so once it stops moving, she’ll typically either get into predator mode or walk off go about her grooming or exploring and then randomly run and pounce on the bag, which will reactivate the toy again. The battery is decent, so far… and it charges fairly quickly. Only a few issues I have with it overall.. one being that the motion sensitivity is sometimes super sensitive and it’s easy to activate it when moving near the bag.. so next thing you know is the toy is bouncing around inside the bag and chirping for 2-3 minutes until it goes to sleep again (depends on which mode you’re using of course). Also, the bag hole thing… would be nice if it was a bit more obvious. This one was a hit with my cat so much so that I bought another one for my mother and her cat, who also enjoys it. But we also found that one of her dogs is a big fan too, but the little rascal is a bit slow in the brains.. so he’ll sit there and bark at it when it goes to sleep, instead of trying to touch it which would reactivate the movement. He’s also a chewer and we were concerned he would destroy it, but nope, he just likes chasing it and barking at it to “play again”. So yea, good for dogs too.Thank you for this great design!

My cat was afraid of this toy.
I gave this 4 stars because its a well designed cat toy, unfortunately my cat disagrees with me an does not like this cat toy the lights were a no go with him so i tried it with out lights and he still didn't like it I think the sound bothered him as well as the rapid movement, if your cat is playfull with you but cautious around strange things this might not be for your cat, I'm keeping it turned off and on the floor hoping he might get used to it.
