Historically accurate
These are fun! Adjustable. Probably would not use them to replace real gaiters. Perfect for period-appropriate cosplay.

They're cool.
U need small feet to wear them, or small shoes.

Perfect for Re-enactments
I recently picked up a set of recreation WWII US gaiters, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! These gaiters add a fantastic touch to my vintage military outfit, and they’re impressively well-made, capturing the authentic look and feel of the originals. The material is durable, and they fit snugly over my boots, providing both style and practicality. What’s great is how easy they are to put on and adjust. They stay securely in place during wear, whether I’m out for a reenactment or just displaying them. Overall, this set of recreation WWII US gaiters is a must-have for history buffs or anyone wanting to complete their military-themed look—highly recommended!

Not True to Size
Stated to be 17" at calf and ankle but actually measured 14" at calf and 15" at ankle. Also boot strap was too short to go around even a dress loafer, let alone an actual military boot.

Gorgeous historically accurate gaiters; made on canvas = good quality. Only need instructions...
I got these for my son, who is a WW2 reenactor. And he loved them! Great quality item. Sturdy fabric and so many hooks! All of it sewn and attached really well. You can see why we won the war if this is what the soldiers were wearing! The only thing I need, because I'm not a historical reenactor, is instructions to figure out how to wear these things. We figured out the hooks go on the outside of the leg (because if you had it on the inside, one side might hook on the other side while you were walking. Huh!) But other than that, I don't know if I should try to untie them to hook them, or what. I guess we could/should do more research. But I feel blessed that we found such well made items so he can show up at the next event with new gear. I'm just impressed with the look and feel of these. Now if only we can research how they work! A+ for quality, look and feel.

Good quality but wish they had instructions!
Got these for my husband to do yard work in our woods to prevent him getting bug bites or some sort of rash from all the ivy.... while the material feels nice & study & thick, & the grommets are great quality & the laces are as well. The only issue we had - HOW DO YOU PUT THESE ON??? We had to look up YouTube videos & there wasnt any exactly like this - so we had to put pieces together on different videos. Still not sure we're lacing them up right - but they're staying on - so be it. I will say - they are a little big on my husband's legs too. He's on the smaller side - but we had hoped you could cinch these to make them fit better - no - still really loose - wish they made them in a smaller size for him - or in case a woman wanted a pair. Maybe there is a way to tighen them up on a smaller leg - but again, no directions.

Pretty neat
I'm not a WWII buff, so I couldn't tell you if these are "authentic" or not, but I can say that they make a pretty unique gaiter that most likely nobody on your camping/hunting crew has. They are a bit tricky to figure out how to lace, but they look so good when they are done up. Especially if you have some nice brown leather boots. Certainly old-fashioned, but that's what makes them great. They seem to hold up pretty well, but like most gaiters, I worry about the strap that goes under the boot. If you don't have heels on your boots, they don't last long. Even with heals, rocky territory can play havoc with that strap.
