simple, great product with no problems, if you need just a BP measurement, this is it

Very accurate readings. I compare them with my doctors every time I visit or my wife visits to make sure it's accurate . Large cuff. Easy to use. Didn't lower my blood pressure but at least I can trust the readings.

Let me start by saying that I've used lots of BP monitors over the years. A physician recommended choosing one from 'validatebp.org'. After some research, it turns out that a BP monitor can state they have been "clinically validated" if they meet specific criteria. This simple, little, budget-friendly Braun (bua5000) is a cousin to the bua4000 & bua4050 which both made the list. It is the first monitor I've had in awhile that feels more like a manual cuff when it inflates. It takes accurate readings whether the cuff is right at the elbow crease or 1-2cm above.

I've had the opportunity on several occasions to instantly compare the results of the Braun with blood pressure readings taken by an RN, and the readings are all within a few points of each other. So it seems to be pretty accurate. My only gripe is that it's a bit tricky (at first, anyway) to figure out the positioning of the armband on your arm. The graphics showing how to do this, both in the instructions and printed on the armband itself, are essentially indecipherable.

Works well and easy to use. Gives reliable readings after several uses. The cuff accommodates a wide range of sizes. We tried this on two adults and a teenager without issues. Easy to use and starts working with a single push of a button.

Accurate Readings. Quality Product

My original BP monitor was getting up in age and I didn't think it was reading correctly. So I bought this Braun. I do like it for my BP. The only thing I do not like is it will not keep a memory of the last 3 readings. Other than that, it works well in accuracy and it is small enough to fit in my travel bag.
