Gorilla Glue 8040002 Clear Grip Contact Adhesive - 3 oz Tube

I’ve had issues with E-6000, which provides a strong, permanent hold, but it’s very slippery liquid, so you must add hot glue next to it on your project to add stability ubtil the E-6000 dries and cures. Also, E-6000 dries up in the flimsy tube after awhile and is useless and the tube gets cracks in it as you use the glue. Awful packaging for a decent product! However, this Gorilla clear adhesive has none of these issues! It’s the perfect solution, because it acts like a strong tacky glue or kind of like hot glue in its stability BUT it also provides a longer period when you can reposition the two pieces you’re trying to adhere. The tube looks the same as E-6000’s tube but it keeps the adhesive fresher for much longer. Ive been using the tube daily, for many various projects for awhile now with no drying up like E-6000. Gorilla adhesive provides the same excellent, permanent adhesion as E-6000, so it’s a win-win!

Seems to bind but with little time to set without clumps. Comes out when open and wastes every use. Does not dry well if abrasion occurs it rips.

I was surprised (happily) at the size of the two tubes I received! Lots of great glue for a great price. I have been using it to bedazzle things like cups and pens. I also just used it to glue patches onto a backpack and it worked incredibly. This glue is so versatile and for the price, the amount you get is huge! I really like this glue. I gave 4 stars for easy to use simply because as soon as you are done putting your glue on whatever you’re doing, glue starts to ooze out of the tube uncontrollably. I prefer not to put the lid on between every gemstone so that’s kind of an inconvenience but overall I love this glue!

This is a contact cement, like rubber cement. You spread the glue on both surfaces to be glued, press them together, then separate them for a minute or two. Then press them back together, apply any clamps or pins to hold them together, and allow to dry. It can take a few hours to dry, or best is allow it to set overnight. Your glue joint will be stronger than the material and the glue joint will not break. Any excess glue can be easily slit with an Exacto knife and peeled off.

The things I've attached to other things or that I've glued back together tell a tale of some amazing glue. So one of my garage doors got disconnected from its arm that helps lift or close the door. The screws where totally stripped. Yeah, glued it back on with surprisingly little glue and it held like s champ. I never thought it would hold or work well, but it did. Aside from the vapors of this stuff its great.

Sets up relatively quickly and remains flexible. Great buy
